United by a desire to overcome their personal misfortunes, seven very different women formed an indelible bond and vowed to right wrongs wherever they found them. They’ve succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. After years known as the Vigilantes, Myra, Annie, Kathryn, Alexis, Yoko, Nikki, and Isabelle are enjoying their hard-won freedom and the chance at a normal life. As it turns out, once you’re a part of the Sisterhood, normal is a relative term. President Martine Connor, their long-time ally, has announced the formation of a top-secret organization. Officially, the CIC won’t exist. Unofficially, they’ll report directly to the president and tackle the jobs no one else can handle. For the Sisterhood, it’s the end of an era — and the beginning of a whole new adventure… Praise for Fern Michaels and her Sisterhood novels: “Revenge is a dish best served with cloth napkins and floral centerpieces…fast-paced…puts poetic justice first.” — Publishers Weekly on Payback “Delectable…deliver[s] revenge that’s creatively swift and sweet, Michaels-style.” — Publishers Weekly on Hokus Pokus

"The beginning of this book is somewhat confusing but the sisterhood themselves are as confused indicating that the best was yet to come. The implication is that the women have been honored by the president and given an assignment but they have to figure out what needed to be done. As the storyline goes on the reader is made aware that the young women of the group are happy with their normal lives and that this will most likely be the last assignment for the sisterhood. There's a but and I'm not mentioning anything here it's up to you to read the book and find out." — Patricia (4 out of 5 stars)

" I have enjoyed Fern Michaels "Sisterhood" series of books. The way this one ended, I'm thinking it might be the last of the series. "
" This was the series finale and it just didn't live up to the other stories so was a bit disappointing. "
" Couldn't put the book down. It's always like that for me when I read a sisterhood book. Loved the storey line and looking forward to her developing more books with the old spunky crew. Oooooo the suspense. "
" I really hated to see this series end. Maybe sometime in the future, the second generation of the vigilantes will rise again...I can only hope. Myra, Annie, and all the others, You Rock! "
" The 20th and final book in the sisterhood series (supposedly); although I think she left room to write more. I enjoyed it but don't think it was quite as good as the 19 before it. "
" The final in the series. I so enjoyed these books but enough is enough.i mean how many ways can the vigilantes right a wrong. Nice series "

" I think this is the last of the vigilantes series that I will read. It was very boring. No real story. It is time to retire this series! "
" In a bag of books from Joanne Ovens. An easy read while waiting for surgery . A bit tough to learn Who is who when you start at book number 20. Would not be opposed to reading more of Ferm Michaels but unlikely to seek her books out. "
" This was a good series, but 20 books was way too many. "
" I liked this story because it gave all the ladies an ending to the story... "
" all her books are starting to be way too similar....Need some more action like the first few books of the series! "

" Basic Fern Michaels, I gotta broaden my reading! "
" Love This Series. I have all of them. "
" The latest in the Sisterhood series. "

" I have consistently enjoyed this series. Personally, I would have liked to see it morph into something else. The ending was perfect and completely lines up with the rest of the series. Very enjoyable. "
" A pleasant way to end the series. And a good way to begin a new series. "
" Always like my Sisterhood books. This one ties up the loose ends and begins a new chapter in the life of????? "
" Do I see book 21 in the near future???? "
" A good wrap up of the story, not a lot of action, in fact most of the action was wrapped up in one chapter. It was really about the characters and their new life direction. "
" Riverdale library book. Sisterhood series book. "
" I did not like this book, very immature characters. "
" Last of the sisterhood series - good book but nothing really happens until the last 25 pages. President Martine Connor forms a top-secret organization comprised of the vigiantes who's new assignment is to find the "private gov't slush fund" that is missing. "
" Always enjoy The Vigilanties storylines. Fast reading and a change of pace. "
" Good story, but it took a long time for me to pick up on the plot line. "
" This is book #20 of the Sisterhood Series, and Fern Michaels continues to keep this series alive and active. "
" Another good story in the Sisterhood series, although author seems to want to end the series and then she revisits that decision. Enjoy the lives of the characters; not so much what cause they seem to champion. "
" Loved the series. Couldn't wait for the next one to come out. I had a strong feeling that it wasn't really over. "
