Publisher Description

The Sisterhood: a group of women from all walks of life bound by friendship and a quest for justice. Armed with vast resources, top-notch expertise, and a loyal network of allies around the globe, the Sisterhood will not rest until every wrong is made right.

Payback has its price, and the Sisterhood’s last assignment almost landed them in jail. Now the women are fugitives with a bounty on their heads, but they’re not planning on hiding out for long—not when good friends need the kind of help only they can give.

Mitch Riley, the ruthless assistant director of the FBI, intends to frame Cornelia “Nellie” Easter, the judge who helped the Sisterhood evade prison, and their lawyer, Lizzie Fox, in order to save his own career. He’s created a special task force to hunt the Sisters down. Mitch has the entire FBI behind him, but he’s about to discover that he’s no match for seven formidable women with an unbreakable bond and a wickedly cunning plan to bring the fight right to his door . . .

"I have always enjoyed Fern's books. Even if they do tend to be, as a friend calls them "fluff". But this one was different and unexpected. It was actually in line with a spy/espionage theme. I enjoyed it because true to form, I like the good guys to win..."

" This book kept me wanting to read continuously so I knew what was going to happen at the end. I love books about bada** women too and this is it. "

" I was not as impressed by the Sisterhood novel on account of involving so many others. I kind of feel like Fern Michaels struggled to bring the women back in to action. I was a bit bored for over half this novel. I truly hope this is not the case for the remainder of the series. I will say the choice of punishment issued to Riley was creative and having handled said materials I fully understand the itch. "

" I was a little disappointed that my library had this lsited as the first book in the Sisterhood series so I started with this book and right away I could tell that it definitely was not the first book in the series. I was interested enough to keep reading the book but at the same time I just felt confused the entire time becuase I really wasn't sure what the purpose of the Sisterhood was or how they really got started. A few hints were given throughout the book but I just felt lost all the way through. Definitely need to check a little more closely when I use the library's series list. "

" Maybe it's because I haven't read the first 7 books yet, but this book took a while to get going for me..it didn't pick up til about chapter 12- then it was hard to put down. I have #9 as well but I think I am going to start at the beginning and work my way through- not immediately though. "

" This was one of those life is too short books. The whole premise of this book-which is, unbelievably, the 8th in this series, is that a group of vigilante woman are getting revenge on men who have done them wrong. The writing is stilted, the characters border on the ridiculous (I mean, come on, a former English secret service guy who doesn't have anything better to do than run a 'war room' for a bunch of revenge seeking women)? "
