"I am currently re-reading the Chesapeake Diaries by Mariah Stewart. I LOVE these books! She really gets you into the characters and the situations they find themselves in. One in a long list of must reads by this author."
— Jennifer (5 out of 5 stars)
The town and townspeople of St. Dennis, MD, come vividly to life under Stewart's skillful hands. The pace is gentle, but the emotions are complex in this touching charmer.
— Romantic Times" I enjoyed this story and returning to St. Dennis on the bay. The characters were great and I really liked the use of flashbacks to help put the story together. Looking forward to book three! "
— Becky, 2/14/2014" This book was enjoyable, but I felt like it was a little slow and predictable. I may or may not read the next book in the series. "
— Cindy, 2/8/2014" Another great book in the series of the Chesapeake Diaries however it was very predictable "
— Sandy, 1/26/2014" This book wasn't as good as the first book in this series. There wasn't much of a love story involved. Not enough romance for a romance novel. Not a bad story. "
— Phyllis, 1/22/2014" This is the second book in the series. It is by far my favorite. I LOVE Dallas and Grant's love story, so will you. Oh.... You will definately want Berry to your aunt. She's great. "
— Kim, 1/10/2014" Great series. Is a must read. "
— Kimberly, 1/4/2014" This was a cute book. My only beef is how the main character goes home to lick her wounds and protect her son, yet she ends up letting her aunt pretty much raise her son while she writes a screen play and reconnects with an old boyfriend. In real life, she would not have a built in babysitter... "
— Jen, 12/3/2013" I love stories that continue from book to book this one of those times. The characters are differnt in each book, but the town is the same and there are carry characters. I recommend this book. "
— Cindy, 11/11/2013" My first Mariah Stewart. Really l liked it. "
— Renee, 10/19/2013" Loved it. And now have to try to patiently wait for the conclusion of this series. LOL! "
— Deborah, 10/17/2013" Loved it! - Full review coming soon. I'm behind on some books. "
— Sally, 9/26/2013" Perhaps 3.75 stars. Got into it quicker than book 1 in the series. Nothing too intense in this one. "
— Dianna, 9/10/2013" Loved the beautiful love story. Looking forward to reading book one and three of the series. "
— Sandra, 8/20/2013" Nice little story very predictable but good for a change. Going to read third book in series soon. "
— Paulette, 6/13/2013" Moderately worth reading. Character development not very deep or involved. Story quite superficial. "
— Doris, 12/15/2012" I love the relationship between aunt & neice. Great book. I am going to have to find the rest of the series. "
— Loni, 10/17/2012" It makes you want to live in this town. "
— Thebookplace, 9/20/2012" Yet another book of this series that I read in under 24 hours. I just get so pulled into the life of the residents of St Dennis that I hate to leave them. "
— Shannon, 8/25/2012" Ok...if you just want a predictible romance. I ran out of books in Mexico and found this at the community center. "
