About the Authors

Charles de Lint is the award-winning author of fantasy fiction, including urban fantasy, contemporary magical realism, and mythic fiction. He is best known for his fantasy novels in the Newford series, but he also writes novellas, short stories, poetry, lyrics, literary criticism, and a children’s book. Among his many awards are the Ontario Library Association’s White Pine Award, the Great Lakes Great Books Award, the Canadian SF/Fantasy Award, and the 2000 World Fantasy Award. His evocative novels have earned him a devoted following and critical acclaim as a master of contemporary mythic fiction.

Guillermo del Toro is an Academy Award–winning film director as well as a screenwriter, producer, and New York Times bestselling novelist. He is best known for his foreign fantasy films, especially Pan’s Labyrinth, and American mainstream movies like The Shape of Water. Del Toro has published multiple bestselling adult novels, including The Strain, which was adapted into a TV series by FX.

Thomas E. Sniegoski is the author of more than two dozen novels for adults, teens, and children. His books for teens include LegacySleeper CodeSleeper Agenda, Force Majeure, and the Brimstone Network series. Sniegoski is also a comic book writer; he collaborated with Bone creator Jeff Smith on the prequel miniseries StupidStupid Rat Tails.
