"This was a light and funny book, full of adventures. Not as steampunk-ish as The Iron Duke, with totally different type of heroes)) My favorite type :) - a strong, kick-ass heroine and a charming, nice and easy-going hero. :) I enjoyed reading Heart of Steel immensely. It was packed with action, travel, fights with zombies, treasure-hunting and revolution))) With all that action, there wasn't even much time and place for a proper romance line))) The hero, Archimedes Fox, declared that he was going to fall in love with the heroine, Captain Yasmeen. Until then he refused to even kiss her)) So we got a loooot of UST (a.k.a. Unresolved Sexual Tension). But really, it didn't matter much. The development of their feelings was long, sweet and seemed natural. I can't wait to read the Epilogue, it will be released soon)"

" The 2nd book in the Iron Seas series. I'm loving the alternate history in this series. This si the story of Yasmeen, captain of Lady Corsair, who was introduced in the first book an and Archimedes Fox, a treasure hunter. I loved how he's both sensitive and manly, a nerd and an adventurer. He knew how to love Yasmeen with out overpowering her. "
— Sonia, 2/12/2014" I love this series!!!!!!! Even if the sex was someone anti-climactic (no pun intended). "
— PNR, 2/8/2014" Ending was anticlimactic, plot was confusing to follow, expected more action, expected more romance, expected a lot more however did not deliver. :( "
— Elaine, 2/3/2014" I am hooked into this series. "
— Debbie, 1/15/2014" It wasn't as good as the first book, but it was still a decent read. I think I enjoy reading about the world Ms. Brook has built more than the actual "romance" story. "
— Christine, 11/28/2013" So much enjoyment derived from this book, once again, what's not to like. If you've already read the first then you know. "
— Jodi, 10/29/2013" Hopefully full review coming soon. Great adventure, I thoroughly enjoyed it!! "
— Juju221, 9/24/2013" Only a few chapters in, but the narrator is fantastic. "
— Kait, 9/7/2013" Supporting characters from The Iron Duke get their own story. A fine yarn, full of adventure, politics, mechanical contraptions, and zombies. Not as complex emotionally, perhaps, but still enjoyable. Also, FYI, less steamy. "
— Hilary, 3/5/2013" A wonderful second book in the series. I can hardly wait for the third! "
