"Really good Legal Thriller & my favorite of the Dismas Hardy / Abe Glitsky series. Lescroart has developed a really interesting Legal / Cop Series with great character development added to the usual twists one would expect from a good thriller.. "

" I enjoyed. Another of my favorites. "
— Al, 5/13/2011" I've read several of his books. This was an early one, so I was reading about characters that had appeared in later books, but I still enjoyed it. It seems I remembered seeing a TV movie with this story several years ago. "
— Sandy, 2/21/2011" This book is fast-paced, well-written and a good story. "
— Ray, 11/13/2010" One of the early stories about Dismas and Abe. "
— Deanna, 7/30/2010" Perhaps his later books are better. I was disappointed and often felt the writing silly. Whoever recommended him... "
— Andrea, 7/4/2010" I didn't relate to any of the characters, but it was an alright read. "
— Phoebe223, 10/28/2009" Entertaining, but even more implausible than the usual thriller. "
— Lynne, 10/24/2009" One of his best since "The 13th Juror." "
— Leah, 9/21/2009" John Lescroart does not disappoint the reader. THis is one of the earlier books in the series, and I had read the later ones,so it was fun to see where the characters were in the beginning. A good read. "
— Ruth, 7/22/2009" Excellent read. Fast paced with good characters, a good mix of police work and legal work. Lescroart continues to be a favorite author of mine. "

— Ila, 1/10/2009" I liked this book. It reminded me of those typical soap operas I loved watching. "
