"A fun mystery series! I always like reading the first book in a series first so I was willing to start with this one even though it was written wayyyyy back in 1993. Good snappy dialogue. A complicated (but not TOO complicated) plot and just enough romance to satisfy my girly self. "

— Vanillahugz, 1/14/2014" This is the first in the Irene Kelly series and it wasn't a bad first. The characters were good and there was a lot of action at first, some lulls but not bad. "
— Diane, 1/6/2014" First in the series, a fun read. I saw on B & N that folks who buy some of my favorite authors also bought the Irene Kelly books. Worth reading! "
— Cori, 12/22/2013" I just couldn't get hooked into this one. It couldn't keep my attention. I didn't even finish it. That rarely happens where I allow myself to quit in the middle of a book. "
— Teresa, 12/17/2013" listened to about 3/4 and then due to technical difficulties, not able to finish. Okay book, not great...might try again once I get a new 'device". 7/31 - finished it. I stand by the 2star rating. I figured out the murderer half way through... "
— Joanne, 12/11/2013" This book was good. It is always a good sign when a book keeps you interested even if it is not your "cup of tea". This book had too much emphasis on the lavishly rich & their transgressions, but for some reason I still kept reading. Not the worst, but definitely not the best. "
— Haley, 12/6/2013" Strong woman reporter, good mystery to solve "
— Martha, 11/22/2013" Wonderful mystery, the first in the series. Great characters, hard to put down. "
