Max and the Flock are flying high over Africa, but this time they’re not alone. A sky full of cargo planes accompanies the team as they bring much-needed aid to the continent’s poverty stricken regions. Among the volunteers is the mission’s benefactor, mysterious billionaire, Dr. Hans Gunther-Hagen. Max is intrigued by Dr. Gunther-Hagen’s generosity, but there’s also something about him and his intense scrutiny of the Flock that makes her nervous.

But the mission’s benefactor isn’t the only puzzling thing about their trip. The Flock also receives a cryptic message from a young girl who tells them, “The sky will fall.” When Max and the Flock are ready to return home, they are still unable to make sense of her statement. But the surprises don’t end with their departure, and something unbelievably momentous shakes up the Flock, pushing Max and Fang closer than ever. Will the team be able to stick together through the chaos?

" I loved it!!! This is my favourite book of the series so far, the ending was sad but at the same time made you look forward to the next book. I think it all came out perfectly with this book, the humour is still there along with the characters and the action. I can't wait to read the next one!! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Rebekah | 1/19/2014

" Most of this book was kind of confusing because sometimes a fact stated earlier in the series (like Celeste being an angel to being a ballerina, and Max's hair color which keeps changing throughout the series from brown to blonde to brown to blonde to now brown with blonde and red streaks in it! I give up on her hair color!)Besides the confusing changing-of-facts, though, it was actually really good. The end was really sad, though. It literally made me cry! "
