"Considering how fast she is cranking these out, the book is not that formulaic. However, I'm worried the series is headed that way. Still funny, still disturbing, still scary . . . but less suspenseful and surprising than the first two installments. Definitely remains a cut above your average thriller, though - and the setting is Portland and proud of it."
