"This is the second book I have read by Verdon and it has moved him into my list of must read authors. The plot was intricate and fascinating. I love a book that really makes me stop and THINK. This book is also the second to feature Dave Gurney, retired former NYPD Detective. I also became intrigued with his home life including his somewhat complicated, however, entirely realistic, relationship with his wife Madeline. A great read, very different from the norm.Can't wait to get my hands on his next novel."

The central plot of each is amazing and the twists and turns Verdon adds are tremendous. Verdon keeps you interest at every point. He does a great job of building each character and offers a lot of character introspection, which I normally don't like but Verdon does it very, very well. Superb books, both of them. "
