"c2010 My favourite kind of story - dragons!!!! I find it interesting that the dragon myths have grown over the last twenty to thirty years so now certain aspects of dragon culture have become almost factual - how weird is that. I had no problem picking up the story line and Sintara, Thymara, Alise, Sedric all burst into life again. Great read but I felt this time that there were a few incidents that should have taken up paragraphs as opposed to pages but I understand that this is sometimes necessary to lay the groundwork for the next instalment. At least they reached Kelsingra. (Oh, and I loved the inclusion and expansion of Tarman)"

" There are some really great moments and characters in this trilogy, and even paragraphs that I would quote, in relevant situations (that have nothing to do with fantasy dragon worlds). Love Ms. Hobb. I think what she expresses in her stories, the themes, are so astute and realized and her characters are complex and yet so compelling. Check her out, she is great. "
— Vanessa, 2/19/2014" Sequel to Dragon Keeper. Think of the two volumes as a single book. "
— Jenna, 2/17/2014" Perfect? No, but still satisfying. I look forward to the next book in the series. "
— Didi, 2/16/2014" I see what everyone is saying about how sometimes as you're reading you're all like, REDUNDANTSAUCE or, SPIT IT OUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH, HOBB. I get it now, I do. But even so, rewarding read, totally worth the slow buildup. Here I come Book 3, then on to the galley! Sheesh. Wish me luck. "
— Katie, 2/12/2014" I found this an absolutely wonderful and tantalizing second installment of The Rain Wild Chronicles. The beautiful description of the settings once again transported me to The Rain Wild. I wished the book was longer because I didn't want the book to end, but I was happy with how the book did end and the growth of the characters. I cannot wait for the next installment! "
— Tressa, 1/29/2014" A nice addition to the Live Trader books. This book helps to move the story along. Helps to fill in hints fromm the earlier books. I enjoyed this book as much as the earlier books. Not sure were they came up with the page count my copy has 508. "
— James, 1/18/2014" I liked this book better than the first one. I still wish I didn't have to read about gay relationships but I like the other story lines and characters in the book. I'm looking forward to reading the next one. "
— Kyla, 1/1/2014" Very satisfying. I wish there was just a teeeny bit more resolution at the end, but I know she is writing more in this series, so I will just have to wait. =D "
