Publisher Description

Scholastic's next multi-platform mega-event begins here!

Dak, Sera, and Riq might be in over their heads when they attempt to stop a Viking invasion!

Hundreds of ships carrying thousands of warriors are laying siege to medieval Paris. The Parisians are holding their own, but the stalemate can only last so long. And that's bad news -- especially since Dak has been captured, forced to work alongside the Vikings while Sera and Riq defend Paris from within. No matter which side wins, the kids lose!

"Carrie Ryan did a fabulous job with Divide and Conquer. The writing flowed very smoothly with that of James Dashner in A Mutiny in Time, but with just enough Carrie Ryan to give it a slightly different feel. Dak and Sera are getting better with each book. I love these characters and even laughed out loud more than once. Great series so far! Can't wait for more Infinity Ring fun! I've already recommended the series to my niece. ;)"

" Yeah, it was a kids book. Like, mid-grade here. I was totally lured by the fact that Carrie Ryan was writing. I saw glimpses of her awesome writing, but I want an original by her, goddamn it! "

" This is book 2 in the series Infinity Ring. Dak, Sera, and Rik go back in time to the year 885 to fix the break there. "

" I like this series a lot! Now that all of the exposition from the first book is over, the story is very interesting and action filled! The fact that the three main characters are young people who don't always get along makes it even more fun. Having goodie goodie protagonist is boring. It's fun to see how the author creates the "breaks" in history so that the reader can figure out some of the events that should happen. "

" I didn't like it as much as the first one. The story didn't move along as nicely. It did have a Dashneresqe feel to it. I do like some of the history lessons the books give without becoming history books. "
