Dak, Sera, and Riq have fixed the Great Breaks in history—but the SQ isn’t beaten yet, and the biggest, boldest Infinity Ring adventure of all time has just begun!

Dak Smyth and Sera Froste are heroes. They fixed the Great Breaks in history, setting the world on its proper course at last. Or did they? Strange things are happening in the present, and it all points to more trouble in the past. But the time travelers have no idea why the SQ is so interested in a Chinese alchemist, the trial of Galileo, or a Russian dog named Laika. With the clock ticking and no Hystorians to help them, this time Dak and Sera may not be able to fix what has been broken.

Quotes & Awards

  • “Infinity Ring fans are in for an action packed surprise!..De La Peña does a remarkable job in keeping the story line flowing and suspenseful. Middle readers who enjoyed previous volumes in this series will certainly enjoy this.”

    Children’s Literature

  • “In a worthy eighth entry, the mixture of history, science, and adventure will delight fans of the time-travel-mystery series.”

    Horn Book

  • “Dion Graham’s performance matches the fast-paced plot in this Infinity Ring installment, which follows main characters Dak and Sera as they travel through time in an attempt to fix history. Graham gives Dak a goofy voice that is appropriate to his personality but also captures his curiosity and incredulity as Sera’s behavior grows more and more odd. The more no-nonsense Sera, we soon learn, is on a different path, with a different Dak. Graham’s distinct voices keep listeners anchored as the story moves between viewpoints, locations, and eras. Even listeners new to the series will root for Dak and Sera as they try to puzzle their way back to each other and the present.”
