In the thrilling ninth book of the best-selling inspirational series of all time, the sweeping, apocalyptic saga of the end times on planet earth continues. Twenty-five days into the Great Tribulation, the horror and suffering in the world is intensifying. The Antichrist Nicolae Carpathia, now the complete embodiment of evil, is preparing to desecrate the holy temple in Jerusalem by entering and declaring himself god. While Carpathia's forces seek to destroy the Tribulation Force once and for all, the world teeters on the brink of the ultimate battle: Armageddon. But the Tribulation Force of believers has more than a few tricks up their collective sleeve. Skillfully mixing Biblical prophecy and current events, LaHaye and Jenkins pack their story full of action and adventure. Narrator Frank Muller's legendary voice heightens the growing tension of the end times on planet Earth.

With over 40 million copies in print, the immensely popular Left Behind series by best-selling authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins continues to fascinate and inspire new readers. Desecration is the highly anticipated continuation of this powerful saga.

" The 9th book in the Left Behind series, "Desecration" gets us a bit closer toward Armageddon & shows us just how far Carpathia is willing to go to make people follow him. The Tribulation Force's mission continues as the prepare for the final showdown & twists & turns that come along with this. This is another worthwhile entry in the series as we see good fighting for ways to stay alive & to keep ahead of the GC & with evil doing everything within it's power to stay in control. LaHaye continues his excellent job in mastering of the characters & events as we get ever closer to the final battle just around the corner. "

" The Anti-Christ will create the Abomination of Desecration (which is when he sits in the temple of the one true God and calls himself God). There is suspense in this book and will keep you wondering with every page just how far this freak will go just to keep people away from the one true God. The Anti-Christ truly is the Father of Lies. "

" Left Behind Series #9 Satan takes over the Temple; the Orthodox Jews, Jewish believers & undecided flee to the hills. Satan says he is God but quits the peace rhetoric and becomes ugly & militant. The plague of boils (1st bowl) and oceans turn to blood. "

" The series has a good plot/storyline, however the writing isn't that great. And it can have overbearing Christian tones to it at times. Overall, the series is okay - nothing great not the worst. "

" OK...this series just went on for too long. I enjoyed the first 5 or 6 books but then I felt like the authors were just turning out books for the money...how disappointing. The writing wasn't that great. I think this is the last one I read. "
