Author of The Girl With All the Gifts Mike Carey presents the third book in his hip supernatural thriller series featuring freelance exorcist Felix Castor.
You might think that helping a friend's widow to stop a lawyer from stealing her husband's corpse would be the strangest thing on your To Do list. But life is rarely that simple for Felix Castor.
A brutal murder in the heart of London bears all the hallmarks of a long-dead American serial killer, and it takes more good sense than Castor possesses not to get involved. He's also fighting a legal battle over the body -- if not the soul -- of his possessed friend, Rafi, and can't shake the feeling that his three problems might be related.
With the help of the succubus Juliet and paranoid zombie data-fence Nicky Heath, Castor just might have a chance of fitting the pieces together before someone drops him down an elevator shaft or rips his throat out.

"Even more than the story itself and the main character, I love how developed Juliet is and the shots we see of her relationship with Susan. It's easy to forget that Juliet was never human and, therefor, lives by her own code. It's interesting to see how that throws a monkey wrench into her work and relationship and how both Felix and Susan cope with it. Yeah, the plot was good as well. I would very much recommend this book."

— Kirkus (starred review) on The Devil You Know" Another goodie in this series. "
— Lauren, 2/20/2014" This guy has his craft down pat, gripping chapter endings, just enough hints to make you think you missed something, and all the strings pulled together at the end into a neat little bow. Felix just gets better and better "
— Emily, 2/8/2014" This is book 3 of the Felix Castor exorcist series... Light, fun reading in an interesting, multi-faceted current day London. "
— Lisa, 2/7/2014" A book that is need a lot of patience to get through. It meanders hopelessly... "
— Veena, 1/17/2014" Much better than the first two! Can't believe the difference. He must have either taken a class or gotten a better editor. "
— Josh, 1/16/2014" Layered plot and nonstop action--and a wonderful performance from Michael Kramer. On to the next episode ... "
— Janet, 1/15/2014" Twisted ending, as he's figuring it all out, but another great one! I love Juliet, I think she should have her own series. ;) "
— Shaunesay, 12/23/2013" It was pretty good. Dragged on for some parts. Got a little grotesque, but tied in very well. "
— JM, 12/20/2013" Number three in the Felix Castor series. This is very gritty urban fantasy, set in, and around, London. The story tends to meander at first, but still stays gripping and surprising. "
— Lshapiro, 12/1/2013" Nothing like starting in the middle of a series, but now I *have* to read the earlier books. "
— VioLeT, 11/22/2013" Dear books 4 and 5: Come out in the US already! Geez! "
— Annie, 9/6/2013" This one surprised me - I did NOT see where the ending was going! More excellent supernatural noir. "
— A., 7/16/2013" It was hard to get through this one- it took most of the book to get going and it was confusing- I almost just stopped. My boyfriend told me to finish it and I'm really glad I did- one of the best series I've read in a REALLY long time. "
— Stana, 7/5/2013" A pretty good book, though it did slow down a bit in the middle. I'd like that there seems to be a semi-steady pace of action to keep your attention. "
— Andrew, 7/4/2013" Aug 14, 2009 "
— Jonathan, 2/15/2013" Another excellent book in the Felix Castor series. If you are a fan of urban supernatural/paranormal fiction, like the Dresden novels, you'd be doing yourself a favor by checking out this series. "
— Rich, 5/10/2012" Cheesy guilty pleasure, easy read. Good storytelling. From the write for the Lucifer comics. "
— Josh, 2/20/2012" a lot like Harry Dresden - without the magic :-) "
— John, 7/29/2011" Another Gritty and Dark Felix Castor novel, I do love how the characters chased down the clues in this one, and at times was seriously worried about how the characters were gonna manage to get out of things alive. Excellent addition to the series. "
— Richard, 5/26/2011" I tried reading one of those Dresden Files books to which this series is so often compared, and it was just silly. Why isn't this guy more well-known? I'm guessing it is because he is relentlessly British. "
— Matt, 5/2/2011" This book was just too weird for me--it had to do with demons and people who die and possess the bodies of living individuals. "
— Kriscrowe, 3/29/2011" Thankfully not a Dresden clone. Okay, similarities abound. He's an exorcist. There's magic, seldomly used. Werewolves & ghosts exist. But it's not just another noir book, honest. "
— Michael, 2/9/2011" Best of the series so far. "
— Clarence, 1/2/2011" Felix fights immortal clique of killers who take over people's bodies, with Juliet (succubus) help <br/>Really good read, reminds me of a more serious Wizard Harry Dresden (Jim Butcher). "
— Tasula, 12/24/2010" Dudes. Juliet the succubus demon is one of the coolest fictional characters ever. "
— Marie, 11/9/2010" This one surprised me - I did NOT see where the ending was going! More excellent supernatural noir. "
— A., 11/8/2010" Good, spooky, dark. Very dark. 4.5 stars, a lil too life sucks, then u die, then it sucks some more. But that's just me, I need a few more rays of hope in my books. "
— Kelly, 10/28/2010" Felix Castor has not lost his edge, in this there is the return of all your favorite characters from the series, with the same schemes and back alley deals that rule the subculture that is the Undead Society. Dude, you find yourself a fan of the undead, this is the detective fiction for you! "
— Tyler, 9/20/2010" Got kind of confusing in the middle, but very good payoff. Very solid and consistently well-written series. "
— Hilary, 9/10/2010" Felix Castor makes for such a fun read. The heady mix of noir, supernatural, and London keep me coming back for more. "
