"This one ranked between 3.5 stars and 4 stars. Good romantic tension between the two leads. Good suspense scenes. But a boring antagonist who is involved in voodoo, which kind of makes the "dangerous" scenes seem kind of...almost childish. But I still enjoyed reading it. "

" Dean Koontz is one of my favorite authors. He writes fast-paced, entertaining and thought provoking stories. His characters are engaging and I find his books and easy read. This book combines morality, voodoo, institutional religious comments and just plain entertaining stuff. "

" One of Koont's better thrillers. Likable characters and a swift pace make this a perfectly acceptable trashy beach read:) "
