Publisher Description

Cassandra Palmer may be the all-powerful Pythia now, but that doesn't mean people have stopped trying to kill her. Most of the supernatural power players don't want independent-minded Cassie as chief clairvoyant—and they'll stop at nothing to see her six feet under.

The Vampire Senate does support Cassie in her position, but their protection comes with a price: an alliance with the sexy master vampire Mircea, who has claimed Cassie as his own.

But even the vampires will have trouble keeping Cassie alive now that the self-styled god Apollo, the source of the Pythia's power, has it in for her in a big way. To save her life—and the world—Cassie's going to have to face down her creator once and for all.

"Number 4 in the Cassie Palmer series, Curse the Dawn held up to my expectations. It's another good book, and so far the story line of the series is moving along quite well. I was happy to see more of Cassie's problems resolved in this book, although the end was a little anti-climatic. There were a few unnecessary side stories that seemed to slow the main story line down a little, but overall it was a good read. At the present, most of the problems Cassie has had are concluded, so I'm curious to see what happens next. Karen Chance is definitely one of my favorite authors so I can only assume it will be great."

" Each new book in this series becomes my favorite. I really, really love Pritkin! I am always cracking up and his attitude. I'm always pleasantly surprised when he grabs Cassie and gives her a scorching kiss! He's always coming to her rescue too! He's an all around great character. There was not too much time with Mircea in this book, so I'm kind of disappointed. I'm also assuming that the photo album of pictures of a brunette girl is a photo album of his daughter Dorina, I wonder why Mircea hasn't mentioned it to Cassie before? Hmm.....maybe in the next book. "

" A few of the ongoing issues get resolved in this one, wrapped up very neatly at the end, but it was really the rollicking adventure of Cassie and Pritkin that really shone through, fast paced, action packed, funny, sweet and hot. I think that things will shape up to get interesting between Pritkin and Mircea at some point when he realises just how things are between the two of them. This is really some good stuff!! "

" As I mentioned in reviews of the previous books in the series, each one gets a little better. "Curse the Dawn" was fast-paced and funny. Parts of it had me laughing out loud as I was reading. It was also great to see more of and learn more about Pritkin and to get and idea of where possibly his relationship with Cassie could be headed in future books. I throughly enjoyed the book and am looking forward to reading the next one. "

" The best one in the series so far. Maybe the writing has gotten better, or I'm becoming immune to the craziness. either way, I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first 2. "

" Karen Chance is a fantastic writer, and I love the plot twists she creates. In this novel, there is a bit less time travel, and more focus on character development, and the war with Apollo. I'm also glad that Cassie is asserting her rights with the vamps (especially Mircea) and taking control of her relationships. "

" This was a really fun book to read. The characters continue to entertain the reader and the story goes very quickly. There are some really funny parts in this particular one that I think most people will find hard not to laugh at. I will be eventually reading the next one in this series. "

" Another cute urban fantasy in this series. I like how this series and the Dorina Basarab series overlap (involving some of the same characters and taking place at the same time...as much as you can with a time traveler), and I can't decide which order I would recommend reading them in. "
