"i really like learning about kings and queens of eqypt so i picked this book and i was glade i did becues thire where things i did not know about cleopatra. my 3 best pages i liked was when she let her favite maid have freedom instedd of bying mean to them like her sisters. 2 was when she found out her father was going to rome and she goes with him becuase she is afraid. my 1 was when they came back to equypt and her father let her be next in thrown and how her father chaped her 2 in line sister. i think that cleopatra is a breave queen and a curise one to. she has a kind heart and not weak like her fathers. if you like to learn about cleopatra life start with this book"

— Audiofile" I love this book... the only thing that i have to say is that I think the end wasn't very good. It should have been a little longer. But, I love Cleopatra and Egypt and this was a good author. "
— Mariana, 2/2/2014" A Fun way to learn history while enjoying a good read. "
— Vicky, 1/19/2014" Historically accurate. written in a diary manner that gives interesting insight into the young Cleo's life as a child. Intrigued to read more of the same series after this one. "
— Renee, 1/12/2014" Cleopatra VII lives with her father, the king, her good sister, Berenice, and her evil sister, Tryphaena. Everyone in Egypt hates Cleopatra's father, so the king goes to Rome to seek soldiers who will destroy the city. When the soldiers attack, the king will come back and "save" his people. Cleopatra goes with him. Meanwhile, Tryphaena takes over as queen and pharaoh. She exiles her father and Cleopatra. If either of them return, they will be killed... "
— Amanda, 1/8/2014" it was a little strange "
— Nabila, 12/31/2013" This book was really interesting and i would recommend it to everyone! "
— Safia, 12/31/2013" I thought this book was pretty interesting. It's about the last Pharaoh of Egypt in her younger years and what happened to her family before she became Queen. "
— Sara, 12/22/2013" This was a cute one, and at the end, when i relized how cleopatra died, because of Marc Antony, i relized it was just a true life story of Romeo and Juliet. how romantic. "
— Devin, 12/5/2013" I listened to this on CD at work. I was interesting but I had a hard time staying focused. I really is to young for high school level. I would put at a middle school level. "
— Diane, 10/26/2013" My rating is pure nostalgia - I barely remember the plot or writing, but this book had a deep impact on my development. It's why I love Cleopatra unconditionally. The series (Royal Diaries) gave me a much broader understanding of history than an elementary school education did. "
— Kelsea, 10/8/2013" ive read it and its beeen a while, so i need to reread it. "
— Spiderlily2, 9/16/2013" LOVED IT! Seeing how life was like, her determination, her sisters, romans, her AWESOME PET... one of the best in the royal diaries collection in my opinion. "
— Liz, 8/5/2013" I'm on the fence on this one. There isn't alot known about of Cleopatra's early years, and so this book attempts to fill in those years in a book to add to the royal diaries series. It was...OK. I don't know what more I wanted out of this book, but I wanted something I didn't get. "
— Shannon, 7/22/2013" Pretty Freeky!! I can't believe one of Cleopatra's sisters was going to kill her!!! "
— Brenna, 7/16/2013" Good book. But compared to some of the other books in this series it lacks. It lacks the emotion the rest of these books had. Plus its rather violent for a childrens book. "
— Emily, 7/8/2013" Good when used with discernment for older girls... "
— Bethany, 6/18/2013" Good. Weird though. Her sister was evil. "
— Alex, 3/16/2013" These books, again, I was reviewing for Violet. I found them interesting, but kind of feministic in ways I don't think are historically accurate. But who knows! Easy, interesting reads, somewhat historical. "
— Cheryl, 12/2/2012" pretty good...not the best royal diaries. It could be better, but I guess it wasn't. "

— Purna, 11/24/2011" A solid novel for young girls, boys too, about middle school age. Not entirely accurate but much of the history of Cleopatra was speculation. Overall, it does a good job of keeping this princess PG. "
