" This is a serious mystery novel in which some of the characters happen to be cats that can read and speak. That being said, if you want a SERIOUS book, this is not it. The mystery and the writing is entertaining, but if you try to take it too seriously you probably won't enjoy it. It makes for some interesting sleuthing and clever ways to communicate without losing the anonymity of being cats. I'm looking forward to the upcoming novels and considering there are 21 to date, the series has to have something going for it."
