About the Authors

Will McIntosh is a Hugo Award winner and Nebula Award finalist whose debut novel, Soft Apocalypse, was published by Night Shade in 2011. His short fiction has appeared in Asimov’s, Strange Horizons, Science Fiction and Fantasy: Best of the Year, and others. A New Yorker transplanted to the rural south, Will is a psychology professor at Georgia Southern University, where he studies Internet dating, and how people’s TV, music, and movie choices are affected by recession and terrorist threat. In 2008 he became the father of twins.

Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff is a versatile author and performer, best known for her science fiction and fantasy works. Bohnhoff also writes magic realism and nonfiction, and has written and performed music since 1979. Her short fiction has appeared in Analog, Amazing StoriesInterzone, Realms of Fantasy, and others. In addition to her shorter works Bohnhoff has written several full-length novels, including The Meri, which was a Locus magazine finalist for the Best First Novel award in 1993. She lives in California with her husband.

Lucas Bale writes the sort of intense, gripping science fiction thrillers which make you miss your train. His bestselling debut novel, The Heretic, is the gateway to the award-winning Beyond the Wall series, an epic hard science fiction space opera. Bale wasn’t always a writer. He was a criminal lawyer for fifteen years before he discovered crime doesn’t pay and turned to something which actually pays even less.

Daniel Arenson is a bookworm, proud geek, and USA Today bestselling author of fantasy and science fiction. His novels have sold over a million copies. The Huffington Post has called his writing “full of soul.” He’s written over forty novels, most of them in five series: Earthrise, Requiem, Moth, Alien Hunters, and Kingdoms of Sand. Josi Russell writes science fiction novels that explore familiar human relationships in unfamiliar contexts. Josi currently teaches creative writing and fiction courses as an associate professor of English for Utah State University Eastern. She lives in the alien landscape of the high desert American Southwest with her family.

Felix R. Savage writes science fiction and fantasy while not translating, delighting in his family, or catering to the whims of the family’s cat. He is the author of the Solarian War Trilogy and the Elfrida Goto Trilogy, among other books.
