"This is the latest Sigma Force thriller from Rollins. Since this one is focused almost entirely on the group's main adversary, it does help to have read at least some of the more recent books in the series, to understand not only the subtle relationships between the group, but also the history with the Guild, the arch-nemesis of Sigma. Sigma is a shadowy governmental force, buried deep within DARPA, which is comprised of Painter Crowe, the leader, with his girlfriend, a doctor named Lisa, Grey Pierce, the head of the field team, Kowalski, a big bear of an ex-special forces soldier, Monk, one of the team, whose loss of a hand in combat a number of books back led to a sort of early retirement and house-husband duties as his family expands to two kids, and his wife Kat, also an agent who has left the field, but returns for this one mission. Add in Seichan, a former Guild operative, a new but promising young computer expert Jason, and a new temporary, but likely to return team of Tucker and his war dog, Kane, a highly trained dog with a thousand voice commands and hundred of hand signals, who help proves to be invaluable when the president's daughter is kidnapped while 8 months pregnant. She and her husband fled the family's compound after she received information that led her to think she and her baby were in danger. As they chase the leads from Somalia to Dubai, and back to South Carolina, the action if high, the tech is out of this world, and the bio ethics cutting edge. The Guild is exposed, but not dead. At the end, he gives a number of links to various sites where you can find more information to back up much of the research in the book, and some of the fascinating facts. A fitting piece to the Sigma Force."

" James Rollins does not disappoint. A novel that continues the feud between good and evil: SIGMA versus the Guild. It was a great read and would be excellent vacation book! Looking forward to the next one! "
— Mary, 2/20/2014" One of my favorite authors and series can't wait to read it "
— Tony, 2/15/2014" One of my favorite action series, I love the characters. "
— Terrah, 2/2/2014" Finished this book in a few days. Just didn't get around to updating my status. "
— Wickedosity, 1/26/2014" Great! Typical James Rollins action but the characters are getting richer! Wish they would make Sigma Force movies! "
— Noelle, 1/17/2014" James Rollins keeps the Sigma Force alive with excellent character development and innovative, cutting edge plot lines, along with the continuing question, "Will this finally bring an end to The Guild?" Well, I'm not giving that away... read the book! Well worth the time, Bloodline is filled with plot twists that would do Michael Chrichton proud. "
— Tom, 1/16/2014" Hooked from beginning to end "
— Tammy, 1/14/2014" A thoroughly enjoyable read. The usual characters from the secret super force named Sigma foil another evil family's plans for harvesting people's organs in an attempt to create eternal life. Twenty years ago much of the technology described here would have been far-out science fiction. Today many of these things are inexistence - the possibility of what can be done now and what is likely in the near future is what helps to make this story even more interesting. "
— Greer, 1/14/2014" WOW! This was so much fun and a joy to read. Is is strange to have a secret crush on a fictional character? I so have a secret crush on Director Painter Crow. (Oops the secret is out now) Keep Reading ;^) "
— Sonya, 1/9/2014" I have no words , the book is just amazing. want to extend the pleasure of reading ...)))) "
— Anna, 12/20/2013" James Rllins always delivers if you like this type of book. Fast paced and with a little fact mixed with a little James Bond action. "
