Bittersweet Audiobook

" Cute storyline "

" If there are two things in this world that I normally like, it's romance and some historical fiction. When you put them together, it's almost always a win-win in my mind. But, things just didn't seem to quite come together for me in this book. I thought the character development and plot were rushed in some parts (how do you go from thinking someone is "pesky" to loving her in a matter of a day?), but in other parts it was too slow. All in all, just....no. I think all the elements for a good story was there, but the execution was so-so. "

" Just okay. Seemed like the author got stuck working the story around the doctrine she was trying to get across, rather than writing a story that had a Christian based theme to it. A little too heavy on the doctrine and too light on the story for a novel to me. Clean storyline, but not my favorite book. "
