"NR was good ... There was an element of mystery and it revolves around Callie a rational, logical archeologist. Mother and daughter are passionate about the work although their works are poles apart. Its about the finding mystery layer after layer however in the end I felt there was a little hasty ending. Although the mystery , romance and the pinch of adventure kept me guessing. Overall I liked the book I should say its better than the last NR book I read Angels fall."

" Well who doesn't like a good scheme? Thia book won't be a disappointment. "
— Hwendt, 2/17/2014" Nora Roberts siempre logra atraparme hasta el final y hacer amar a sus personajes y sus historias. "
— Maaru, 2/5/2014" Just okay to me. The problem that Callie's experiencing is great. Yet somehow I don't really feel connnected to either Callie nor Jake. "
— Primadonna, 1/30/2014" I was skeptical to read Nora Roberts at first because I thought it would be too much romance and too predictable. But not so! (Well, OK, it can be predictable)Nora Roberts writes great stories and great characters. Birthright was one of the first books of hers I read and is still one of my favorites. You won't regret it! "
— Lauren, 1/24/2014" Talk about angst. This book held no surprises. The plot was easy to follow and oh so sad. I'm sure from the character's point of view it was all a shock. From the reader's point of view, I felt like I was watching a train wreck in Iowa. It's a plain as day to see the trains are going to collide and the collateral damage will be large. I've never had children so I can't speak to how upsetting it is to lose a child but most especially to have one stolen. This book broke my heart a little. I rate it a 3.5 star. But since I round down, it is only a 3. I do recommend this book to people who want to feel a bit more emotion in their romance. "
— ♆, 1/23/2014" I absolutely LOVED the relationship between Callie and Jake. Their chemistry was SO magnetic and together their interaction with each other was just hilarious. Reading this you could actually visualize a REAL LIFE couple going through the scenarios. What I also loved was the job that Callie did. The fact that she would dig up sites to find all these ancient things was HIGHLY interesting. Reading her passion for it almost made ME want to do the same thing! "
— Camille, 1/23/2014" I liked all the things Roberts had going on in this one. We have the dig, family secrets, people being killed and of course the H/h trying to work through their past issues. I really liked how the h handled the parent problem. It was done well, with sensitivity and respect. Of course the fire between the H/h was just good fun! I love fiery words and hot tempers. "
— Tasha, 1/17/2014" it was a good mix of romance mystery and suspence I really injoyed it "
— Tabatha, 1/10/2014" I own an autographed editio--by Nora Baby herself--of this particular hardcover edition. "
— Marilyn, 1/9/2014" A truely creative romantic suspense thriller from Nora Roberts. This was a book that can be hard to put down for even a minute. "
— Brittany, 12/29/2013" An interesting story about a paleontologist who discovers her life isn't what she thought. This story is full of intrigue, murder and relationships. It brings to mind the faith taken in childbirth and adoption; the dynamic of what family is really all about. Truly a good read. "
— cristina, 12/16/2013" This was a great story - so many twists and turns - it was VERY entertaining. "
— Regina, 12/12/2013" Archaeologist Callie Dunbrook is excited to be overseeing a new dig, but with the site rumored to be cursed, her ex-husband hanging around, and a stranger suggesting that he knows all about her past, things aren't altogether rosy. "
— Stacy, 11/15/2013" Interesting book! I couldn't put the book down and when i had left it at home I regretted that decision. I would it through the night and wake up with reading it as my first thought. I loved every adventure, suspense, thrill and the romance. "
— Carol, 10/11/2013" So I have a weakness for a good romance. This one is good, not her best, but still good. "
— Jen, 7/6/2013" Really great. Again - I LOVED the archeology aspect of the story. My cousin's one, so it was cool to read more about what she does. Surprises all the way around for me - except for the romance part. Very predictable. "
— Christy, 6/12/2013" I love the ending to this one. It's a nice twist from the usual Nora Roberts since there are two couples and one of the couples are divorced. "

— Jess, 9/23/2012" this is one of my favorite all time reads, it was well written interesting all the way through, really amazing book "
— Amy, 9/21/2012" Nora Roberts at her finest. Based on the plausible relationship between child abductions and adoptions, the story follows a young woman recognized by her birth mother. The repercussions fall from there. Heart felt, intriguing and entertaining, I loved listening to this. "
— Glenajo, 7/19/2012" One of the few stand alone books that I've read by Nora Roberts. Well written-- I didn't expect it. "

— Marissa, 5/14/2011" Good, young archeologist who finds out she was kidnapped as a baby. "
— Mary, 4/26/2011" What happens when you find out you are not really who you think you are? "
— Peggy, 4/25/2011" I liked the people in the book but the plot was off for me. Just couldn't believe it i guess. "
— Carrie, 4/25/2011" This book was recommended to me by a friend and I decided to read it. To my surprise, I was having a difficult time putting it down once I started reading it.

If you enjoy suspenseful romantic dramas with a twist then you will probably enjoy Birthright... "
— Keith, 4/17/2011" I didn't know what to expect from this book, but I really enjoyed it. It starts off with a baby that is kidnapped at 3 months old and goes onto chronicle what happened to that girl. It actually turns into a mystery of sorts. It is well written and the characters are likable. I liked it! "
— Mckenna, 3/30/2011" My most favorite Nora Roberts book!!!!! "
— Danielle, 3/23/2011" Anyone with the least bit interest in archeology would enjoy this book. It was easy to imagine the characters and the book flowed quickly. A good suspense mystery involving family dynamics and murder all set around an acheological dig. "
— Rene, 3/22/2011" I liked this book but not a Nora Roberts fan.Certainly wouldn't pay money for her books.
I can get the same goop on TV. Way too much gratuitous rolling in the hay. "
