In the wake of the Second Wave, the angel menace has exploded, and Alex and Willow are on the lam. Willow's prophetic dream points them to Mexico City, where they connect with a fledgling group of angel killers led by the exotically beautiful Kara, an Angel Killer from Alex's past. But the team remains suspicious of Willow, even after the more-experienced Alex takes over as leader, training them hard for a rush attack on the Seraphic Council, or "The Twelve." This elite group of all-powerful angels is also under the scrutiny of Willow's angel-father, Raziel, who has his own sinister plan to defeat them.
What Willow hasn't told Alex is that there was also a mysterious boy in her dream, one she felt overpoweringly attracted to. When brooding, gorgeous Seb shows up in the flesh, he turns out to be another—possibly the world's only other—half angel. He's been searching for Willow all his life, and when Alex enlists this rival to help keep Willow safe, he can't predict what chemistry will pass between them…or how far Willow might go to keep Alex safe. Will their love endure or spell doomsday for the human race?

"OMG!!!!! I have finally gotten through this book. It was so hard in the middle. I mean, I was so confused on who the heck she should be with, I mean maybe she should be with Seb, or she should be with Alex. The the plot turned and Alex broke up with Willow and I was all like oh snap. Then it was this big emotional roller coaster. Then the whole time this was going on, willow's dad was like spying in her mind. I mean, and then you kind of realize that he sort of loves his daughter. It is so true. Now I am waiting to see if there shall be another book. But If I wanted to stop reading this series, it would be ok because after this book, I don't see how far the plot will get to go."

" Huge improvement on book 1. Still a bit love sick and repetitive but a great storyline and the whole thing read better. Plus it actually has me looking forward to book 3! "
— olittlebear, 2/2/2014" This book had nonstop action from beginning to end! The new character Seb was awesome! I'm so glad he appeared. The plot line was better than the first book! I LOVE LOVE it!!! Its so true of relationships nowadays sometimes! Cant wait for the next book :) "
— Helen, 1/12/2014" READ the series! This book is awesome, so much suspense. But the only thing is that it got the Second Book Curse! :C NOOOOO! But the ending is awesome! Love Willow and Alex! "
— Booknerd17, 1/6/2014" I didn't really know what to think of the first one but I liked the second one a lot better. There seemed to be a bit more logic in the second book, In the first book I had a hard time understanding what kind of character Willow was but it got clearer in the second. "
— Silke, 12/28/2013" awsome book, wasn't expecting it to be so good. lots of action and romance, loved it! I'm happy she didn't get with Seb, Willow and Alex are perfect for each other. "
— Joy, 9/13/2013" i loved this more than the first one. "
— Mandi, 9/8/2013" love how this author writes!! 700 pages but were well worth it!! "
— Casey, 7/25/2013" This book wasn't the best I've read. Although the start was exciting and very mellow, I was getting into it. But when it came to the middle, it lacked the action. Personally I'm not a big fan, but the other mexican dude was better than her boyfriend. "
— Designer, 5/31/2013" One of my most read books. :) Love conquers all! "
— Suzena, 4/12/2013" OMG yes, yes, yes, YES! So totally YES! "
— Renuka, 3/1/2013" its reaally good!! "
— Pavani, 12/16/2012" I tried, I tried, I tried. I just couldn't get into this book. The plot was moving slowly and predictably. And, okay, I peaked at the end to see if it'd be worth reading... Nothing seemed to have changed! Maybe I'll give it another try when I have more time to read. "
— Emily, 11/30/2012" Ok so it's a little angsty and you really want to smack the main characters at times, but I found myself really caring for them and hurting with them. So I think that's a mark of a good author, will deffinitely be looking to read the last in this trilogy. "
— Heather, 7/15/2012" One of the best books I've ever read. "
— Pirl{Okay, 6/26/2012" Love the series, great conflict between Alex & Seb but the book is way too long they could've taken a chunk off of it and it would still be good "
— Ronnel, 5/29/2012" way too long of a book. completely dragged and dragged. glad that willow and alex could stay together but a little dissapointed seb and willow couldnt have been more. i never trusted kara from the start she seemed evil to me and probably did get killed in the mob... hopefullly >:) "
