"This was my first foray into Hannon's literature and I enjoyed it. This is the second suspense/romance novel I have tried and I liked it better than the previous one I read. The characters were great and the romance felt real despite the short amount of time the characters had to get to know one another. I really liked having the point of view of the terrorists; that made the threat seem real and dangerous. While I was hoping they would fail, the tactics and planning of the terrorists was impressive. I like the detail Hannon put into the methods of both sides. I really enjoyed the emphasis on communication and how that was a theme throughout the book. This was pretty good. I recommend."

" Good thriller with terrorists and kidnappings. Written from a Christian perspective. "
— Beverly, 2/13/2014" A free book I downloaded for my kindle and I really enjoyed it! It was good to read something slightly different and I enjoyed the modern storyline with some suspense thrown in. Still maybe a predictable outcome but a good read for me. "
— Gail, 2/9/2014" This was just ok for me. The suspense didn't start soon enough and it all seemed kind of sappy to me. I still prefer Dee Henderson. "
— Nanette, 2/6/2014" I really liked this book. Admittedly, it was similar to other books I've read (the whole guy protecting girl and developing a relationship); but I really like that story line. I'll definitely look for more of her books. "
— Hilary, 1/25/2014" I liked this book and so enjoyed reading it. I am already starting on the second book. Great action/suspense story. I didn't want to put it down. "
— Lanae, 1/16/2014" Just...no. Which is such a shame because it starts out well and I was looking forward to a good thriller - I liked the characters initially and the set-up was interesting, but before I got 1/3rd of the way through the massive religious agenda was so offputting I had to delete it off my Kindle. It really didn't add anything to the story, and having flicked through the other reviews I'm glad I didn't continue to waste my time. As the saying goes, having a religion is like having a penis - it's great to be proud of it but don't shove it down my throat unless I ask you to. "
— Seawood, 1/13/2014" When I first started reading this I was a little disapointed by the imeadiate physical attraction between the two main characters. I was thinking that I would be more preocupied with staying alive, but as the story progressed I found myself caring for the characters and involed in the story. The romance wasn't overt and the thrilling action in the story was very well done. I found myself hoping for a little more bible quotes but the christian perspective was well done. "
— Rachel, 1/10/2014" It was pretty good. A quick, easy read. "
— Alicia, 1/5/2014" A great story with suspense and romance. I really liked the characters and enjoyed the story very much. This won't be my last book by Irene Hannon. The reading was easy and flowed smoothly. No complaints. "
— Skybirdsmom, 12/23/2013" Absolutely love this series. If you like Dee Henderson, you will Love Irene Hannon "
— Janice, 12/17/2013" Nice combo of suspense, mystery and love with a little faith thrown in. "
— Heidi, 12/11/2013" When Dee Henderson says the author writes better suspense than she does, I pay attention. Loved the book! Ready for Book 2. "
— Eden, 11/14/2013" This was a fun read. Romance, suspense....I really enjoyed it!! And it was clean. I knew you could write a great suspenseful book without the language. "
— Kaylynn, 11/1/2013" I always enjoy the crime fighting-type books. This one had all the good stuff: terrorism, FBI, romance (clean), action/suspense. "
— Colette, 10/23/2013" This was a kindle freebie. This could have been good if all the religion was left out. It was like the plot was secondary to all the heavy handed preaching throughout the book. "
— Michelle, 9/28/2013" mostly this book was boring. I did manage to finish it, but just barely. It gets a big meh from me. "
— Holly, 9/12/2013" Not a bad fluff book...no in depth thinking required! "
— Katie, 7/15/2013" I love this book... I will keep coming back and re-reading I am sure as the author kept it interesting enough and yet moved steadily through to the end. I almost wish there was a follow-up book so we could we could find out if happily ever was achieved! "
— Elisabeth, 6/2/2013" Wow! What an excellent read! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! "
— Sondra, 5/8/2013" This book is so my cup of tea. "
— Sarah, 4/7/2013" Interesting story - enjoyed it. "
— Vicki, 3/26/2013" I actually liked this book and all the military jargon it had in it. For some reason I am liking war books lately and this fit my current taste. Of course it incorporates faith and religion and how that can help anyone in their life. It's a fun read. "
— Valerie, 3/17/2013" A romantic suspense novel that's pretty good. Much to my surprise I had a hard time putting it down. The suspense is believable, and the romance is squeaky clean. "
— Lewestover, 2/25/2013" Christian romantic suspense. It moved at a good pace and the characters were nicely developed. As a christian romance, I didn't feel it was overly "preachy". It focused more on the subject of forgiveness. "
— Pamela(AllHoney), 2/19/2012" I'm not usually that keen on "romantic suspense", but the romantic element wasn't too intrusive, and it was written from a Christian perspective so there weren't any tedious descriptions of the sex act. From the suspense point of view the plot moved along nicely and kept me interested. "
— Jack, 12/25/2011" I wasn't overly thrilled about the first book I read by Hannon, but this one looks like it could be a fun one to read. I've been keeping an eye out for it in thrift stores. "
— Jill, 11/10/2011" I generally avoid romance novels with a military theme (my son is career Army), but I found this on my Kindle and decided to read it. Sometime I go on shopping sprees and then work my way through the list.
I'm glad I did. "
— Madeline, 11/2/2011" Too much God in this one. I don't like religion creeping into my romance novels.
Plus the characters didn't grab me straight off. "
— Ariel, 8/1/2011" Wow! What an excellent read! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! "
— Sondra, 7/29/2011" This book is so my cup of tea. "
— Sarah, 7/28/2011" Love story...check. Predictable...check. Loved it anyway...check. It was clean, Christian without being overbearing, and the guy gets the girl. I also liked it because it all happens close to where I live. I love when I can picture it. "
— Anne, 7/17/2011" mostly this book was boring. I did manage to finish it, but just barely. It gets a big meh from me. "
— Holly, 7/5/2011" Not a bad fluff book...no in depth thinking required! "
— Katie, 6/12/2011" This book by Hannon is a very good and easy read. I find that the characters are certainly believable and easy to get to know and the plot is interesting. It keeps you reading to find out what happens next.

J. Robert Ewbank author "John Wesley, Natural Man, and the 'Isms'" "
— J., 6/9/2011" I thought the premise of the book was good, but the author totally destroyed what could have been a good story of redemption at the end. And, of course you had the overly predictable ending of the HRT operator and the main character falling in love. "
— Stephanie, 5/23/2011" This is very similar to the Dee Henderson books. It was a relaxing read with some suspense and action thrown in. "
