" The main character is kind of like Stephanie Plum, a reluctant, bumbling, and successful participant in capturing the bad guys. A series to recommend to Janet Evanovich readers. I think readers of Carl Hiaasen might like her, too, and anyone who wants a female protagonist. "

" I enjoyed the writer's style but didn't care for the main character or the premise. I think the only reason I finished it was because I wanted to see if Simon really was an FBI agent on assignment or just a cheating b*sta*rd. "

" Wollie Shelley, fresh from jury duty, is approached by the defendant for a job as a social coach to help with media relations for Eastern Eurpeans new to the US. Yuri Milos is very convincing about the help she can provide to the people of MediasRex, and the pay's not too bad either. Turns out Yuri is being watched by the FBI, and she's also approached by them, to help in their investigation of MediasRex by being their man on the inside. Wollie agrees, and the story meanders into a couple different veins, murder being one of them. "

" To keep her brother in the half way house he loves, Wollie agrees to go undercover in MediaRex a mysterious company that represents former Soviet Bloc celebrities trying to learn how to act in the United States. General Comedy of errors ensues though some can be life threatening. "

" An interesting selection by my book club this month. I'd never heard of the author/series beforehand, so I went into this with no expectations. All in all, it was a fun, light, easy read. No heavy thinking required. The characters are well-defined and unique, which I enjoyed. I didn't enjoy the plot, though - the lead character seems to happen into peculiar situations as opposed to being an actual sleuth. Like, when someone writes a message in Russian in your lip pencil on a mirror, don't you run to a dictionary to figure out what the message is? Not Wollie. She sits and idles on it for 150 pages, which I find unbelievable - but a necessary mechanic to help the story drive to its conclusion. I've heard lots of comparisons between this series and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum Series. I definitely see the likeness, but I'm not a fan of Plum at all, and probably won't be picking up any of the other books in this series, either. "

" This book was good. It is similar to the murder mysteries by Janet Evanovich in that you have a female as the main character solving the mystery. It is also humorous with a little romance. This is the 2nd Wolly Shelly mystery and I'm going to read the third. I really enjoyed it. "

" A great vacation read. This is a fun, humorous series about a greeting card designer in Hollywood who gets herself into lots of predicatments with her pseudo detective work. If you like Janet Evanovich, try this series. "
