"Another great book in the Wollie series - the premise getting Wollie into her latest "dating" situation is a little thin, but the mystery and her escapades are very enjoyable, and the ending is top-notch. Of course, now I have to wait another year or so for the next installment, but it is a great summer read!"

“Kozak keeps the laughs and chills in bewitching balance.”
— Publishers Weekly“Kozak continues to mix well-developed characters and madcap action in this enjoyable series. Beautiful, six-foot Wollie is a natural for Stephanie Plum fans.”
— Booklist“Strikes a balanced note—sharp and witty but heartfelt.”
— Kirkus Reviews" The main character is kind of like Stephanie Plum, a reluctant, bumbling, and successful participant in capturing the bad guys. A series to recommend to Janet Evanovich readers. I think readers of Carl Hiaasen might like her, too, and anyone who wants a female protagonist. "
— Kate, 1/28/2014" I enjoyed the writer's style but didn't care for the main character or the premise. I think the only reason I finished it was because I wanted to see if Simon really was an FBI agent on assignment or just a cheating b*sta*rd. "
— Vicki, 1/19/2014" Wollie Shelley, fresh from jury duty, is approached by the defendant for a job as a social coach to help with media relations for Eastern Eurpeans new to the US. Yuri Milos is very convincing about the help she can provide to the people of MediasRex, and the pay's not too bad either. Turns out Yuri is being watched by the FBI, and she's also approached by them, to help in their investigation of MediasRex by being their man on the inside. Wollie agrees, and the story meanders into a couple different veins, murder being one of them. "
— Julia, 1/19/2014" To keep her brother in the half way house he loves, Wollie agrees to go undercover in MediaRex a mysterious company that represents former Soviet Bloc celebrities trying to learn how to act in the United States. General Comedy of errors ensues though some can be life threatening. "
— Ginny, 1/17/2014" An interesting selection by my book club this month. I'd never heard of the author/series beforehand, so I went into this with no expectations. All in all, it was a fun, light, easy read. No heavy thinking required. The characters are well-defined and unique, which I enjoyed. I didn't enjoy the plot, though - the lead character seems to happen into peculiar situations as opposed to being an actual sleuth. Like, when someone writes a message in Russian in your lip pencil on a mirror, don't you run to a dictionary to figure out what the message is? Not Wollie. She sits and idles on it for 150 pages, which I find unbelievable - but a necessary mechanic to help the story drive to its conclusion. I've heard lots of comparisons between this series and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum Series. I definitely see the likeness, but I'm not a fan of Plum at all, and probably won't be picking up any of the other books in this series, either. "
— Amber, 1/14/2014" This book was good. It is similar to the murder mysteries by Janet Evanovich in that you have a female as the main character solving the mystery. It is also humorous with a little romance. This is the 2nd Wolly Shelly mystery and I'm going to read the third. I really enjoyed it. "
— Karon, 11/29/2013" A great vacation read. This is a fun, humorous series about a greeting card designer in Hollywood who gets herself into lots of predicatments with her pseudo detective work. If you like Janet Evanovich, try this series. "
— Lorie, 11/21/2013" 4th in the series of Wollie Shelley mysteries. Cute, quick read. No heavy lifting involved in this plot or the 'surprise plot twist' at the end. "
— Martha, 11/18/2013" Fast moving. I was almost the end and realized they hadn't solved anything yet. I wonder if there will be a next book. "
— Christa, 11/18/2013" I've enjoyed the other entries in this series, but this one was difficult for me, it started off good, then lagged, but I was pleasantly surprised (rewarded?) with the ending, and now want to see what's next for Wollie. I hope it won't be so long between books again. "
— Alissa, 11/4/2013" I like these characters a lot. "
— Beth, 10/16/2013" Fun, fast summer reading. Plenty of suspects and over-the-top characters. "
— Carolyn, 10/11/2013" Couldn't wait for this one to be released. It telegraphed a bit more than the other two books with a nice, neat little twist on the end. "
— Lisa, 8/29/2013" I love this series. Kozak's character Wollie Shelley is appealing and funny and her adventures in dating make a fun read. This was not my favorite book in the series, but it was a quick and entertaining read. "
— suzi, 6/4/2013" Nah, just put this book back on the shelf and back away. "
— Charles, 2/27/2013" Another good story in the Wollie series with enough humor and mystery to keep the pages turning. I really wish the character of Simon played a stronger roll, but maybe he will in the future. This series carries me through the other six months when I am waiting for a new Janet Evanovich book. "
— Mary, 2/6/2013" Kozak's books are always fun with interesting characters, and I do mean characters. Sure there are dead bodies and tension but things never get too dark. "
— Lisa, 10/23/2012" If she's trying to be like Evanovich, she's just more irritating than humorous. LA instead of Trenton. International intrigue instead of bounty hunting. FBI instead of the local cop. "
— Patty, 1/30/2012" I didn't like this one as much as the previous three. "
— Kelly24, 11/27/2011" Fun, good summer read. One of the best examples of strong narrative drive that I have ever read. "
— Sheli, 8/29/2011" Lots of fun! (Although I was hoping for a different ending.) "
— MB, 4/9/2010" I'll read a Wollie Shelley book any day, and this one is just as fun as the ones before. I was, however, surprised by a little sexual episode that was written rather more descriptively than I remember being the style in the previous books. "
