Everyone dreams of the storybook romance that's complete with a romantic ending. That's all Jane Boyle ever wanted.

In "666 Park Avenue" by Gabriella Pierce, you'll be lulled into the wonderful new relationship between Jane and Malcolm Doran. He's everything she could have ever asked for; intelligent, incredibly wealthy, and full of love and devotion for her. Before Jane knows it, Malcolm is presenting her with a beautiful diamond ring. She believes that all of her dreams are coming true. In fact, her love for him is so strong, and her ideals of their lives being blended together are so wonderful that she quickly agrees to leave her job in Paris and follow Malcolm to New York. What better way to begin their new lives together? It's almost magical...

Perhaps "magical" is the wrong word to describe Jane's situation, which you'll quickly find out once Jane is introduced to Malcolm's family. She finds out that not only are they one of the most feared families in Manhattan, but there's also a dark secret that lies behind their family name.

Jane is not prepared to encounter the magical powers of the Doran family, nor is she prepared to have to fight off those who would come against her as the newest member of the family. Her new life presents Jane with challenges she never thought she'd encounter once her fairytale dreams came true. Now...she wonders if she'll escape alive.

Originally from the United States, science fiction and fantasy fiction author Gabriella Pierce currently lives in Paris. She enjoys writing about witchcraft and all of the magical mystery attendant to that subject.

" What a fun little book. I liked it quite a bit. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because it had a bit of a slow start. There is a lot of potential for this story line and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series. "

" 666 Park Avenue is a fun tale of witches in NYC high society, an urban fantasy with wit but drama and chills as well. The TV show is pretty different from this novel, the first in a series. "

" Witchcraft in New York. Looking forward to reading the next two although I might have to wait as the 3rd isn't due out until next January. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Janet | 12/22/2013

" Sometimes .99 for a novel is still too expensive -- because where do you get back your time? I always felt as if I was being stretccccccccccccccched as a reader because this is a trilogy or a whatever. So every novel our heroine will have sex will someone who is aware that she is a witch, while holding off being with the "connected" chap that really appeals to her. Some good moments. "

" I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series. However, it did remind me a little of the YA series Sweep...right down to the name of the villian (Celine). I am not sure how this will turn out as a television show...but I am interested to find out. "

" I picked up this book because of the tv series '666 Park Avenue' however the plot was not like the tv series at all. Rather disappointing but the story is not too bad. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Beth | 10/28/2013

" This was a very funny book...I definitely enjoyed it, though it would certainly be classified as more of a beach read than something of substance. But if you're looking to be entertained, this is a good choice! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Maria Lawson | 6/13/2013

" Okay story, but the claim that it will "Soon be seen on ABC" on the cover of the Kindle edition I got seems a little false since this book has NOTHING to do with what I have seen so far of the series on tv. I'm on the fence if I will continue to read the series. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Hollis | 11/3/2012

" Other than Malcolm's name, Jane's name and Park Avenue, the book is completely different from the TV series based on it. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Valerie | 3/25/2012

" Interesting blend of genres - indulgent chick lit, fantasy and somewhat of a thriller. I found it to be an enjoyable and fast read. One weakness is not exploring too much about the magic involved - why were her powers so different than Lynne's, for example? There were a lot of unanswered questions. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Melanie | 1/25/2012

" I love the paranormal aspect, but get really annoyed with all of the name brand dropping and descriptions of clothing, accessories, etc. I can't help but think that such lengthy descriptions of the fashion and pop culture will completely date the book for future readers. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Terri-Maree | 7/2/2011

" I really enjoyed this one. Good story, good plot, good twists and turns, some great characters, all characters well developed. I certainly look forward to the next book. "

" Solid blend of urban fantasy and chick lit. They followed the recipe perfectly - I just don't think it was that interesting a dish. I'm sure in pitch meeting somewhere they described it as "Gossip Girl meets Rosemary's Baby." "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Diane | 4/21/2011

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Marti | 4/20/2011

" This was an enjoyable book in the genre of fluffy fiction. That said, I disliked the ending as I didn't realize it was book 1 in the series. "

" Supernatural chick lit about a young woman who discovers after a whirlwind courtship that she is a witch and her new fiancee and his family are not all that they seem either. Nothing super-special but a fun, quick read. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 ToniS | 4/9/2011

" I really enjoyed this book. It was a highly entertaining fun read. Great for a vacation beach read if you like to indulge in the occasional chick-lit with an occult twist. I would actually rate it 4 1/2 stars if I could. "
