" This book delivers. It's got a great storyline, is fast moving and exciting. And in typical Stephen King fashion, the last 100 pages (whatever that equates to in the audio version) are awesome! "

In a series that has shown a really interesting shift between genres, King surprises once again with a bizarre mixing of Old West gunfighter stories and post-apocalyptic sci-fi with influence from Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai". Continues to be a very interesting series. "

" This seems to be the last book of the series where Stephen King actually made a clear-headed effort to describe the adventures of Roland and his ka-tet. Farther than this everything truly feels like fluff and borders on the brink of absurdity and lazy writing. I would honestly recommend that people stop at this book. "

It dragged on and on, added nothing to the story and took hundreds of pages for anything of note to happen. The best came from a short cameo appearance from another famous Stephen King novel. I've heard good things about the last few books, but just couldn't make myself do it after reading Wolves. "

" I used to read a lot of Stephen King, but it's been several years since have read one of his books, and while the story was good at least 2/3rds of this book was filler, and now I remember why I moved on to other reading. His books tend to be very slow. I was pretty board though all but 3 parts. "

" It was in the middle of book five that my brother-in-law looks over at me and announces "oh, is that the Dark Tower series? Where at the end ......" and he proceeded to tell me what the end of book seven entails. I could have killed him. "
