Publisher Description

Her life has seemed like a fairy-tale come true, yet the shocking truth is that for Diana, Princess of Wales, life has been far from perfect. Written with the cooperation and support of members of Diana's family and her closest friends, Diana: Her True Story reveals a woman trapped in a loveless marriage, who has suffered from chronic illness and loneliness, who has gone to the depths of despair, and who has courageously struggled to create a new life for herself.

"I know that Andrew Morton has caught a lot of flack for this book because of its questionable content. That aside, it is very fascinating and comes across as completely consistent with Diana as a person and as a icon. If only three quarters of the book is accurate, it is still worth a look and the simple memory of who she was will propel you through the pages."

" As far as auto-biographies go, this one is pretty "droll" you can tell that she was still part of the "establishment" when she made the tapes because even though I am a Diana fan, she paints herself as the absolute victim for every scenario that happens in her life. If it was a true auto-biography, I believe she may have been more honest about her life and opened up more with details from certain events. If you want insight into royal life or the royal family, this is not the book. I recommend one of Paul Burrel's books instead. "

" Loved reading about Princess Diana- I followed her until the day she died, and then cried as I watched it on TV. She was very important to me- as a teen girl. She was what we all wanted to be- a common girl that becomes a princess! "

" I found this book fascinating, and Andrew Morton's role in the Royal's life also fascinating. There are so many awesome intimate tales of royalty here. Just loved it. I found it interesting that when we lived in England, British people think Andrew Morton is AWFUL for telling the royal's secrets. "
