A whirlwind romance from the New York Times bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist! “I’ve left some clues for you. If you want them, turn the page. If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.” 16-year-old Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on her favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. Dash, in a bad mood during the holidays, happens to be the first guy to pick up the notebook and rise to its challenges. What follows is a whirlwind romance as Dash and Lily trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City. But can their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions, or will their scavenger hunt end in a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions? Co-written by Rachel Cohn (GINGERBREAD) and David Levithan, co-author of WILL GRAYSON, WILL GRAYSON with John Green (THE FAULT IN OUR STARS), DASH & LILY'S BOOK OF DARES is a love story that will have readers scouring bookstore shelves, looking and longing for a love (and a red notebook) of their own.

"Adored this book. Both of the characters were fun to follow and the premise was awesome. It was really hard to believe that Dash's narrative voice belonged to a 16 year old boy, but the pretentiousness of it did fit his character and led to some really humorous moments. "

" I would say that it was a page turner, or in my case, a touch worthy(sounds so wrong) book on my phone. Gave me a good idea to try out in the future ;) But then again, i felt like i couldn't connect to the full extent with the characters, which is why i took two stars out, because getting attached to the characters emotionally is a great deal for me. "
— Nadia, 1/24/2014" I liked Dash. I could not STAND Lily. What an annoying character. She was hard to stomach, which made the romance less believable and her chapters somewhat difficult to read. Great story otherwise - very creative. "
— Jody, 1/5/2014" Too many pretensions on each page. "
— Diane, 12/8/2013" I dont think there are any words to describe how much I loved this book "
— Lara, 12/3/2013" Laughed through the whole book. I look forward to revisiting this one next Christmas. "
— Katy, 9/26/2013" Light and fluffy, just the way I like my teen romance books. This was such a heartwarming story and excellently written by both authors. Dash and Lily's insight to love is so relatable I found myself wanting to underline quotes and passages every few pages. "
— Tabitha, 7/23/2013" I'm so behind on my book blogs, but will write one about this book soon! It was okay and fun, but it is not as awesome as their original collaboration, 'Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist.' More coming soon! "
— Lisa, 11/25/2012" It's a cute story. Very teen-ish. "
— Maui, 10/17/2012" A fun little YA romance. This isn't the masterpiece of Nick & Nora, nor the slight disappointment of Naomi & Eli. Somewhere in between lies a solid text for a bit younger crowd than the other two. "
— Evan, 9/17/2012" It was cute. Good references. Read it during Christmas so I enjoyed it. I will be looking for notebooks. "
— Ryan, 9/17/2012" I'm trying really hard to finish this book, but the pretentious-ness that is Dash and Lily is a little overwhelming and unbelievable. "
— Mariama, 4/16/2012" The premise of this story is cute and creative. The book, however, is boring and bothersome. I never cared about the characters, and I disliked the sexual references. I wouldn't recommend reading this book. "
— Michelle, 4/15/2012" Didn't realize this was high school fiction, but it was still a cute story about friendship and love :) "
— Kimberly, 5/23/2011" This book is a let-down after the authors` previous collaboration on Nick and Norah`s Infinite Playlist, largely because of the character Lily. She`s a cute female protagonist, but her innocence becomes an overkill to the point of annoyance as the book progresses. "
— Amanda, 5/20/2011" Loved the book and concept - "F" word a few times - hard to recommend it to most kids, which is sad, because I LOVED the characters. "
— Jgrover, 5/13/2011" This is a really cute book so far. The main character, Dash, reminds me of Mark Peterson circa 1999. "
— Sarah, 5/13/2011" Witty dialog and the thrill of the chase make this a fun read. While classified as young adult, it's great for adults, too. "
— Cari, 5/12/2011" Five stars purely because it made me laugh out loud in several places. "
