Samuel Kleiner is a historian based in New York City. He was raised in Tucson, Arizona and developed an early interest in World War II from listening to his grandfather’s stories about serving on a B-25 in the Pacific. Kleiner holds a BA from Northwestern University, a doctorate in international relations from the University of Oxford, where he was a Marshall Scholar, and a JD from Yale Law School. His writing has appeared in the New Republic, Foreign Policy, the Atlantic, Politico, and the Los Angeles Times.
