Ronnie Spector (1943-2022) became an icon when she rose to fame as lead singer of the Ronettes, the influential 1960s girl group responsible for a string of hits that included “Walking in the Rain,” “Baby I Love You,” and “Be My Baby,” which Brian Wilson has called “the greatest record ever made.” The embodiment of the heart, soul, and passion of rock and roll, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.
