Maureen Child is a USA Today bestselling romance author. She has written over ninety books and has been nominated for the RITA Award five times. Child writes under a variety of pen names; as Kathleen Kane she writes primarily paranormal romances, and as Ann Carberry she writes western historical romances. As herself Child is best known for her Bachelor Battalion series and a variety of stand-alone novels, including The Part-Time Wife, Loving You, Some Kind of Wonderful, A Crazy Kind of Love, and others. Her novel A Pocketful of Paradise was made into a television movie called The Soul Collector, staring Melissa Gilbert, Bruce Greenwood, and Ossie Davis.
