Em Thompson, originally a Yorkshireman—born and partially ill-bred in Halifax—was supposed to be an historian like his father, E.P. Thompson. But music won and he spent the 1970s as a session musician and running an international tour production company. Having recently sold his most recent studio supply and consultancy company—Funky Junk Limited, he now spends his time writing Eccentric fiction—his passion for the past two decades.
