Daniel Schacter, an American psychologist, is a professor of psychology at Harvard University. His research has focused on psychological and biological aspects of human memory and amnesia. He was elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1996. In 2005 he received the NAS Award for Scientific Reviewing from the National Academy of Sciences (NAS0 and was elected to membership in NAS in 2013.
