Chet Meyer has written and edited films, public service announcements, and a consumer magazine, but his special love is the short story. He has taught secondary level English literature and language, creative writing, and film studies. Meyer’s solo and collaborative writings are quite diverse: The Tooth Fairy Legend: The Touch of Kindness is a children’s read-along-and-listen chapter book, Conspiracy is a musical spoof of the Chicago Seven trial, Entwined is a screenplay about the lives of Chang and Eng, the original Siamese twins; The Sand Table Scorpion is a humorous Vietnam War–era romp through the jungles of combat and bureaucracy by a comic-book-style superhero; and The Final Performance of “The Mobled Queen” is a two-act play set in the home of a college professor and based on the siege and fall of Troy.
