Anthony Bourdain (1956– 2018) was an American celebrity chef, author, travel writer, and television personality in programs focused on the exploration of international culture, cuisine, and the human condition. He was considered one of the most influential chefs in the world. His books Kitchen Confidential and Medium Raw were New York Times bestsellers. Hegraduated from the world-renowned Culinary Institute of America and began running kitchens at New York restaurants such as Supper Club, One Fifth Avenue, and Sullivan’s. His extensive body of work has graced the pages of the New York Times, London’s Times and Observer, the Face, and Scotland on Sunday. And his works of fiction include the crime novels Gone Bamboo and Bone in the Throat.
