Yoga for the Snowsports, Vol. 1, is a sixty-minute instructional yoga class devised specifically for boarders and skiers with little or no previous yoga experience. It instructs you in eighteen simple postures that will improve flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, and mental focus. These benefits will make a real difference to your skiing or boarding and will also reduce the risk of injury.

Volume 2 is a sixty-five-minute yoga class that naturally progresses from the first volume and includes nineteen stronger postures. When followed regularly, this class could help speed up your recovery time, reduce the risk of injury, and enhance your time on the slopes.

These two classes start with a short relaxation to focus your mind and prepare the body for the postures that follow—each introduced using clear, easy-to-follow instructions combined with a subtle atmospheric background music track. The classes end with a short relaxation session that will leave your body and mind feeling relaxed and tuned.

Yoga for Balance is a seventy-minute class that guides you through a series of carefully selected asanas (postures) that create physical symmetry, pranayamas (breathing techniques) that encourage emotional balance, and mudras (gestures) that promote a clear focused mind. Throughout the class, you will be encouraged to internalize your focus and bring awareness to any blockages or areas of tension stored within the body. Practicing yoga in such a way will help to remove any imbalances, encourage energy to flow freely around your body, and could improve overall health and vitality.

About the Authors

Yoga 2 Hear was created by Sue Fuller, who decided that audio was the perfect medium for yoga. With audio yoga there is no visual distraction and it requires very little equipment, making it possible to practice yoga at a time and place that most suits you. Yoga 2 Hear has been producing classes since 2005.

Sue Fuller is a leading teacher of both Hatha and Sivananda yoga. She initially trained with the Dhanwanthari Ashram at the Neyyar Dam in India, and has also studied yoga in Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand. She has lead workshops and held training courses in many countries. In addition to her teaching, Fuller is a columnist for Natural Health and the Yoga magazine and a Yoga Elder with the Independent Yoga Network.  She is a course author for the British School of Yoga.
