Witches are real—and each of us may be one—in this all-new paranormal suspense novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Christopher Pike.
Heading off for a weekend in Las Vegas with her friends, Jessie Ralle has only one worry: how to make it through the road trip in the same car as her ex, Jimmy Kelter. The guy she hasn’t come close to getting over since he broke up with her five months ago. The guy who’s finally ready to tell her why he did it, because now he wants her back.
Only, sometimes knowing why doesn’t actually make things better. Sometimes it leads to bigger, more terrifying questions.
Jessie discovers that she’s stumbled into a world where some people can do the impossible and others may not even be human. Are there really witches? Is she one of them? Armed with new abilities and shocked to discover an entire parallel world in which she and her loved ones co-exist, Jessie’s desperate to learn whom she can trust and whom she can’t—before it’s too late.

"It's a gret concpt, but I have to agree with what some othrs have said: The begnng is much bettr than the endng (althogh the cliff hangr at the end is relly well done). It suddnly got extrmly vilent towrds the end, but despte that I still thnk it's a good story that hasn't been done befre!"

“Fans will be clamoring for [Pike’s] latest.”
— Booklist“Hooray, Christopher Pike is back! Fans, new and old, will enjoy this intricately plotted offering where the world building really shines. Pike can still write teens in a believable yet aspirational way. This one’s a winner.”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)" Can't wait for the next book!!! "
— Cheyenn, 2/12/2014" I enjoyed the concept and some of the characters (Kendor, Alex and her boyfriend, the Tar) but thought Jessie and her personal story were boring and without personality. There was defiantly disconnections to realism, not overall I enjoyed the book although often I had to sit back and work out the confusing story in my head. At the beginning and at of the story, Jessie is narrating form the past but then we fall into the story. I think Pike should of had her jump in and explain more thoroughly before he ended the story so abruptly. The book was long and yet incredibly incomplete. I did enjoy Pike's style of writing and brought back Thirst memories. Jessie is terrible compared to Sita, though. I loved everything about and around Kendor. The war references were kind of boring, but Kendor recalling mysterious history had me intrigued. I'd love for this story to be greatly expanded in witch world 2 before Pike moves onto a new plot and Jessie will redeem herself. "

— Jessica, 11/14/2013" Good book once you get into it but really need to pay attention. It gets really confusing at certain spots "
— Cassidy, 10/25/2013" i really really LOVED THIS BOOK! it was fast paced stright to the point, and there was action everywhere!!! it was a little confusing at times (kinda like inception :3), byt once you get passed that its really just amayzing. "
— Elena, 6/16/2013" Ha! I've known all along that my favorite writer has done something again to make me feel intrigued. Oh, I wish Jimmy, Russel and Kendor will be revived and I love Chris for never failing me. I salute you for another success of yours! :D "
— Jessica, 5/18/2013" Well, that was a hot mess. Once upon a time I worshiped Christopher Pike. Obviously, it has been a long time since I was in middle school. This was not one of his even mediocre novels. Let's just say I won't recommend it nor will I be reading book 2. "
— LinseyM, 3/10/2013" I would've given "Witch World" 3 stars if it hadn't been for how much I loved the plot and how it progressed. Hopefully in the sequel, the writing won't sound so monotone and cheesy. "
