The breathtaking New York Times and USA Today bestseller!

Kira Miller is a brilliant genetic engineer who discovers how to temporarily achieve savant-like capabilities in all areas of thought and creativity. But what if this transcendent level of intelligence brings with it a ruthless megalomania?

David Desh left the special forces after his team was brutally butchered in Iran. Now he has been reactivated for one last mission: find Kira Miller, the enigmatic genius behind a bioterror plot that threatens millions. But when Desh learns that the bioterror plot is just the tip of the iceberg, he is thrust into a byzantine maze of deception and intrigue, and he becomes a key player in a deadly game he can't begin to understand. A game that is certain to have a dramatic impact on the future course of human history.

"Found it fascinating and nearly dropped out of finishing it when the corny villain monologue happened. Seriously?! That is reserved for cartoons all dressed in black with large bottled brains on their skulls. I'm glad I finished it though! The ending was not expected, if a little cheesy."

" Here is your ideal fast food techno thriller: easy and enjoyable to read, shallow, with 2d characters and the most stupid villain on mind-enhancing drugs you'll ever see. Also: fantasy molecular biology. But still I'll give it 3 stars, and maybe even would read the sequel, when I feel like I need morning subway reading. "

" Luckily I had never seen this cheesy cover since I read this as an e-book. Definitely entertaining and I liked the concept, the writing and 2-D characters not so much. "

" This book was awesome! Loved it from the minute I opened it. It makes you think about all the untapped capabilities of the human mind. Can't wait to read the sequel! "

" I bought it for a dollar, would've paid three. Surprisingly pacy, enough twists to give you great value for money if all you're looking for is a quick side read. "

" A very well written gripping thriller/sci-fi. The plot is well thought out and keeps a fast pace keeping you from putting the book down. While I do have some gripes about the book, those are minor. And considering this book cost only $0.99, it's a real bargain. Highly recommended. "

" The writing was sort of cheesy, but I enjoyed the premise and the plotting of the novel. There was an awful lot of dialog-as-exposition but I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, just something to keep me entertained while I was bedridden, and this did the trick. "
