Publisher Description

Once blissfully in love . . .

Poppy Lane is keeping secrets. Her powerful gift has earned her membership in the Society for the Suppression of Supernaturals, but she must keep both her ability and her alliance with the Society from her husband, Winston. Yet when Winston is brutally attacked by a werewolf, Poppy's secrets are revealed, leaving Winston's trust in her as broken as his body. Now Poppy will do anything to win back his affections . . .

Their relationship is now put to the ultimate test.

Winston Lane soon regains his physical strength but his face and heart still bear the scars of the vicious attack. Drawn into the darkest depths of London, Winston must fight an evil demon that wants to take away the last hope of reconciliation with his wife. As a former police inspector, Winston has intelligence and logic on his side. But it will take the strength of Poppy's love for him to defeat the forces that threaten to tear them apart.

"I love Poppy and Winston, just didn't love their story as much as I did Miranda and Archer's story. Still a great read though. This one had a steampunk feel to it to me. Looking forward to the next book."

" I'm officially abandoning Winterblaze. What an awful, awful book. I'm so disappointed that this 3rd installment in the series was such a bore. The main characters couldn't be more uninteresting if they tried. The plot seemed contrived too. "

" I was really looking forward to reading the third installment of Darkest London, but was overall disappointed in Winterblaze. The story was not as well developed as the previous books, and somewhat overshadowed by misplaced sex scenes. The previous books were more about plot with sexual tension in appropriate places, while the plot seemed to be the obstacle between sexual encounters in this book. Don't get me wrong, I am not a prude and read romance for romance, but it needs to flow well with the story. In general, scene changes were awkward and secondary character development was non-existent (the only purpose Mary and Jack seemed to serve was to set up the next book). I give it a 2.5 star meh. "

" This series just keeps getting worse for me. Book 3 was unbelievably boring. On top of that, I couldn't stand the heroine. Poppy was too self-righteous and annoying. The hero was too good for her. He deserved someone better. "
