Publisher Description

Twenty-two-year-old Ivy Morgan isn't your average college student. She, and others like her, know that humans aren't the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun . . . and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. Four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she'd sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.

Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He's six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers that are stalking the streets.

As Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes that she's not the only one who's carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. She is no longer sure which is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

  • “Narrator Amy Landon’s talent for capturing the nuances of this snarky, ruthless, yet surprisingly vulnerable heroine makes this action-packed urban fantasy a compelling listening experience. Ivy Morgan, a member of the secretive Order, stalks the French Quarter in a constant battle against the Fae that stole everything from her. She never counted on meeting the charming, enigmatic Ren Owens, but no matter how much she might want him, his secrets soon become the most dangerous threat Ivy has encountered…the chemistry between him and Ivy is tangible, and each member of the Order, young and old alike, is delightfully unique. Most of all, Landon’s pitch-perfect interpretation of Ivy makes this adventure a treat.”

" Jennifer L. Armentrout does it again. I'm here for the full monty. Tink's my favourite character, that voice?? I'm struggling to match his voice to a Tinkerbell like character with a six pack?????? Ren sounds like a dream?? The fae Prince & his minions are a trip & definitely give everyone a run for their money. Then there's the matter of how well do you really know your friends??? I love that it kept me guessing as to who were the trustworthy and who the betrayers are. Bring me book 2 already?? "
