"When You Dare is Lori Foster at her best. When Dare goes on a rescue mission to find his best friends sister, he comes across the beautiful Molly as well. At first he considers her a complication to the mission, but quickly discovers the beauty within Molly along with a mysterious cover-up. I loved Dare in this book. He was strong, sexy and independent. I loved his ferocious protectiveness of the people he cared about. I also loved his friendship with his assistant, Chris. Chris had the perfect balance of smarts, sexy and humor that this book needed. This book is a wonderful blend of romantic suspense at its best."

“Foster kicks off a thrilling trilogy with a terrific tale of survival and treachery. The heroine has gone through hell and remained unbroken, but must still face some horrific situations. Foster does an excellent job laying the foundation for a relationship between the protagonists, while maintaining an aura of danger and suspense. A fantastic launch.”
— RT Book Reviews (4½ stars, Top Pick!)“Hilariously juxtaposes private mercenaries and publishing…Readers will enjoy the strong plot and a glimpse of Foster’s publishing world.”
— Publishers Weekly“Steamy, edgy, and taut…Get the summer off to a sizzling start.”
— Library Journal" I really enjoyed this book. Awesome hero and heroine (not whiney chick).... Great story and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series "
— Kimberly, 2/18/2014" Very nice easy read. Good dialogue, Alfa male character and a heroine that doesn't sob at every turn. Well written. Onto the next... "
— Jenn, 1/25/2014" Hmmmm... the author is good, but it was just ok for me, hence 2 stars. it just dragged on toward the middle, and I ended up putting it down. It wasn't believable to me, and I didn't connect with the characters at all (who were too perfect in my opinion). "
— Momof2Monsters, 1/24/2014" The Man on the cover of this book was worth the six bucks I paid alone! I think even if this weren't a Lori Foster book the cover would have stopped me in my tracks. Okay, enough about the cover. I really liked this book although for me there was no suspense. I knew who had Molly abducted pretty quickly. Not bad though. In true Lori Foster fashion I felt connected to Molly and I still did enjoy this book. I totally thought there would be more lovemaking too. Oh well, I am hopeful this will be true for the next two books. Fingers crossed! "
— Lauren, 1/23/2014" This was a good read. The character development for Molly and Dare were great and I loved the secondary characters. Can't wait to read Trace's book next! "
— Crystal, 1/14/2014" One of Foster's best. Ending wraps up a bit quickly and it's pretty obvious who's the "bad guy" but those are the only things stopping it from being a perfect 5 star read. I'll be picking up the second in the series the day it's released. "
— Meghan, 1/7/2014" I really liked this. I guessed who the bad person was fairly early on but still enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and I think I'll read the others in this series. This was my first Lori Foster book and I'm sure it won't be my last. "
— Cara, 12/7/2013" I think Dare is my new hero..... "
— Pat, 11/19/2013" Entertaining read. I liked Molly and that she is a writer. Dare was good but he does not have a sharing personality. I figured out who did it about half-way through. Easy beach read. "
— Kara, 2/26/2013" This is a lovely romance. A must read for Lori Foster fans! It is book one in Lori's alpha hunk private mercenaries series. "
— Jan, 12/11/2012" It was a good story. The mystery was well written. I was a little annoyed with Molly's continual need to play down how Dare felt about her, even after he repeatedly told and showed her how he felt. "
— Chris, 9/25/2012" I liked it so much that I am re-reading it now. I am going to read the series again! "
— Gina, 8/9/2012" Really, really liked this book. Couldn't put it down. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. "
— Suzanne, 7/2/2012" It was a great book with plenty of action and a nice romance. I really liked the main characters and look forward to more books. "
— dragonsdy, 3/22/2012" Just re-read this and the rest of the series so far. These are good fun. "
— Leslye, 12/22/2011" Lori Foster does it right every time. Men who walk the Edge of Honor rocks....can't wait for the next book in this series to come out. "
— Audra, 10/11/2011" Not sure why, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book - it definitely lives up to its delectably yummy cover! While a fairly quick read, it had great action, believable romance and (yay!) is part of a series. Can't wait to read Trace's story next! "
— Melanie, 7/21/2011" Really enjoyed this romantic suspense. Can't wait to read more from this great author!! "
— Kellie, 7/17/2011" I'll post a review after our book club discussion.<br/> "
— Photojim, 7/14/2011" Good for a bit of light reading, preferably under a nice shady tree. "
— Sam, 7/13/2011" I loved it. It was fast paced, action packed, adult fun, and overall just an exciting read. I loved it from start to finish!! "
— Sara, 7/6/2011" This was a great story and I read it in 2 days. I loved Dare and Molly, they made great opposites. The idea of human trafficking is at first an odd way to begin a romance but Lori Foster made it work perfectly, giving a background that gives realism to her hero. "
— Meredith, 7/5/2011" I think many women would like to meet a Dare Macintosh to protect and love her. An enjoyable book. "
— Sharon, 6/24/2011" First time I read anything by Lori foster. I enjoyed the read. The story was good and the main characters were believable. She is a great storyteller. "
