Publisher Description

Internationally best-selling author Rick Mofina crafts breathtaking fiction that ratchets up suspense to nerve-jangling levels. Police officer Karl Styebeck has been called a hero, but his badge takes on an ugly tarnish when he's linked to the deaths of two women. Driven by personal demons, reporter Jack Gannon lays it all on the line to get to the truth-even if it means rolling the dice with his own life. "Vengeance Road is a thriller with no speed limit! It's a great read!" -Michael Connelly

"Twisty, multi-threaded, and gritty thriller of a newspaper reporter trying to solve a string of murders in Buffalo, NY, while recapturing his Pulitzer-nominee luster. The tone and character remind me of Michael Connelly's newspaper novels. Memorable villain. "

" Jack Gannon is a reporter, in the old sense of the word. He finds a story, investigates, writes, and never gives up his integrity, no matter what the boss wants. The book was worth it just for him. The crime itself, or rather the story of the family of the murderer, is twisted and strange. "
