" Overall, I enjoyed this book. The story of Lestat and the stories he is told by others are very interesting and touching. In places, the writing is beautiful crafted. I found myself rereading several lines and then writing them down in my book of quotes. The imagery is very powerful. This is a wonderful novel. However, there are times when the tale gets a bit tedious. The book has peaks and valleys. Between some good dialogue, some fast action, or a good story-telling, there are these stretches of tedium. Perhaps they're to mark the passage of time or to make the more interesting parts of the book all the more interesting. In any case, these parts of the book would sometimes cause me to not read it for a few days. Nonetheless, the book as a whole is definitely worth reading. "
