"Another good book by Ms Byrd. I am so impressed with this serious. Well written, historical accurate, and just an enjoyable read. I learned some things that I didn't know about Kateryn Parr and I enjoyed doing so. I will eagerly await the author's book about Elizabeth I."

" I'm a sucker for a historical fiction with a love story, so this read was more of a guilty pleasure than anything else. At times I found the language cumbersome, and I felt it had more to do with the voice than the authentic period vocabulary. Bryd writes about a complicated time well, but some parts of the book read like paragraphs from a history book, whereas portions about the main character read more like close third person perspective and were more gripping. " I really liked learning about Kateryn Parr. Not much is written about her life and personality, so I thought this was a refreshing addition to the list of Tudor-related books that I've read. "

" As an English history junkie, I just loved the details incorporated in this novel...I knew of Henry's final wife, the one that finally outlives him, but this delved deeper into the nooks and crannies of the relationship and did not disappoint... "
