Publisher Description

It's Hazel's thirtieth birthday and she has everything she's ever wanted: a kickass job, a dream apartment in New York City, and the perfect boyfriend—who's just days away from proposing. Hazel thinks she's happy but isn't quite ready to settle down. So when her most far-fetched fantasy enters the realm of the possible, shouldn't she drop everything to see it through?

The morning after her birthday, Hazel boards a flight to L.A. only to get the surprise of her life. When she's bumped up to first class, extra legroom and free drinks are absolutely the last things on her mind when she catches sight of her seatmate: her all-time biggest celebrity crush, rock star Finn Schiller! Only the night before she'd confessed her infatuation with the gorgeous musician, and her boyfriend joked that she had a free pass if she ever met him. Hazel can't believe fate has actually thrown them together.

Even more unbelievable is that during the flight they genuinely connect. Finn likes her uncensored cursing and wicked sense of humor, and that she's unlike all of his groupies; Hazel likes his killer looks, ripped physique, and soulful music. But what started as a fantasy quickly becomes a real attraction, and after a dream date and taste of the rock-star life with Finn in L.A., Hazel is forced to examine the track her life is on. Indulging in a passionate affair with a rock star seems crazy—but could she ever forgive herself if she walked away from her wildest dream coming true? And is her wildest dream the stuff that happiness is made of?

A lively novel about a down-to-earth New York City girl who suddenly finds herself in a rock 'n' roll Cinderella fantasy, The Rock Star in Seat 3A is seasoned with Jill Kargman's signature wit and hilarious dialogue. This is a fairy-tale romance with a twist.

" This book lacked any kind of depth, and the storyline was utterly predictable. The main character annoyed me to no end, especially when she opened her mouth. However, I will say that I picked up rather quickly on the fact that Finn was inspired by Trent Reznor....so, I guess there was good description there. "

" I got this for free on my e-reader so I read it. I am surprised that books that are this poorly written actually make it to bookshelves. I did stick it out though- the fantasy in the storyline kept my interest. Wouldn't recommend. "

" Once I got past the vulgar language, I thought it was a pretty good book. If you had the chance to be with the rockstar of your dreams would you? Even if it meant giving up your comfy home life with your boyfriend? That's what Hazel must decide. To stay with what she knows or be adventurous and explore the unknown wild side. "

" An enjoyable story! Sometimes the slag was a bit much and kind of slowed my reading. Other than that a good read! "

" I only made it to chapter 3 of this book then skimmed the rest to see if it was as disgusting as the first two chapters and it definitely was. It seems the author thinks she can make a book edgy and hip by adding as many curse words as possible and the blasphemous line at the end of chapter 2....really?....it wasn't funny....don't waste your time on this one. " It was a quick read but wasn't really that great. I'm pretty sure I wrote this same book in the 4th grade; only my version was with Nick Carter. Also, there were more pop culture references then there should be in any novel. It won't be hard to tell when this book came out 20 years from now. "

" It started out strong and new and exciting, but then it became the same old story. It did hold my attention, so that says something. I was just hoping for more surpises...I mean it is the fantasy world of rock and roll! "

" I like this, but the language of the main character's inner monologue didn't work for me. I'm sure the author was trying to make it authentic, but it just came across as trying too hard. That being said, it was a realistic, entertaining, modern love story. "

" What would I do...probably make the right decision in the first place, no matter if I met my idol or not. A fun quick summer read about an interesting situation arising. Even though two men love us, shouldn't we always go with the sure thing? "
