"I really liked this book. I'm sold on this story and this new world the author has created. I'm excited to read the next one! "
— Megan (4 out of 5 stars)
" I loved these books, and ordered the audio so I could pass the time while my eyes were sore. I've only listened to a few chapters; but I don't understand why the reader has made Cadvan speak so unnaturally. No human being would have an ordinary conversation with such slow, grim gravity. Hoping it gets better. "
— Kathleen, 5/13/2017" I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series. "
— Karla, 6/14/2011" Really more of a 2 & 1/2 star rating. Heavily Tolkienesque but also original in its own way. An easy read. Not too graphic or dark but with a few dark themes & issues. Character building was okay & will hopefully get better as the series progresses. World building was very good. "
— George, 6/12/2011" I liked it a lot. You can tell the author know's her characters and the world they are placed in. "
— Dolores, 6/7/2011" I need to reread this. I'm trying to remember what I thought of it. I remember liking it a lot, though I remember I had some difficulty getting into it. "
