What if being marooned was just the beginning of the adventure?

Five Union prisoners of war escape their Confederate captors via hot air balloon, only to crash-land on an uncharted island in the South Pacific. Led by the brilliant engineer Cyrus Harding, the castaways must use their wits and scientific knowledge to survive in this strange new world.

But this is no ordinary island. As the group builds a thriving colony from scratch, they encounter baffling phenomena and face grave dangers. Inexplicable occurrences suggest they might not be alone. Who—or what—is behind the mysterious events plaguing their new home?

Verne's masterful blend of adventure, science, and mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat. Watch as our heroes battle the elements, tame the wilderness, and uncover shocking secrets that challenge everything they thought they knew about the world.

About Jules Verne

Jules Verne (1828–1905) is considered by many the father of science fiction. Born in Nantes, France, he studied law but turned to writing opera libretti until the 1863 publication of Five Weeks in a Balloon, the first of his Extraordinary Voyages series. Its success encouraged him to produce a number of classic and prophetic science fiction novels, including Journey to the Center of the Earth and Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea. His stories foresaw many scientific and technological developments, including the submarine, television, and space travel.
