"Classic Koontz. It is developing into a very deep and emotive story. When it involves a child going through such horrors, it needs to be well written to carry on and want to know what happens, and is there a happy, or ok ending. I fear not with this one. What a good strong unpredictable, psychological page rurner this has turned out to be. And the ending, well you will have to give t a go to discover it yourself!"

" Read in the 90's - remember being particularly taken with this book...granted, that was through the lense of a teenager. "
— Courtnie, 2/7/2014" didn't really like but would still try another book of his "
— Dana, 2/3/2014" This book was really, really good. It was originally published in 1979 under a different pen name, but Dean updated it for this version. "
— Sally, 1/31/2014" Good story. Took an unexpected turn, which I liked. It's funny to find out that he first published this under a woman's name because it wasn't acceptable in the 70s for a man to write something like this. "
— Brett, 1/30/2014" The first DK book I ever ready...I read in about grade 8 or 9, ever since I was hooked. "
— Serah, 1/21/2014" pretty cool writing style and i enjoyed the story- would have been more interesting to me if there was more information regarding the brainwashing "

— Primula, 11/27/2013" This one was a suggested read. Someone really close to me suggested that I read this one and I almost put it down. It was really slow at the beginning(At least for me). But the middle and the end make getting pass the slow part is oh so worth it. "
— Allen, 9/20/2013" pretty good spy story by Koontz "
— Joy, 9/16/2013" Not the typical Koontz, but still a great story filled with suspense. "
— Ricci, 8/6/2013" I've yet not to like a Dean Koontz book, and this book of course did not disappoint. This book will keep you wondering, questioning, until there finally is no more to question, and like always, all characters find their proper endings, whether they're happy or not, is up to you to decide. "
— Ani, 7/27/2013" I loved this book. It was a little confusing at the end about the CIA and Mirror and all but I got it. It was really good. "
— Kasi, 11/7/2012" This was a really good book. I thought I had read it years ago, but as I was reading it, I couldn't recall what happened or was going to happen. This book was originally released under the psuedonym Leigh Nichols, but Koontz updated it and re-released it. "

— Steven, 6/24/2011" What a wonderful book!!!! It was a page turner! Full of suspense, romance and international conspiracy!! It really reminded me of a scary "Da Vinci Code," except in my mind just as or dare I say, even better!? I'm going to go find another Dean Koontz book to read now. "
— Jenna, 6/7/2011" as I march on through dean koontz books, this one was originally written under another name, and is more of an international spy/mystery book. good enough, but his other stuff is still better. "

— Carolyn, 1/18/2011" Terribly boring. That's all I have to say. "
— Amy, 1/4/2011" Good story. Took an unexpected turn, which I liked. It's funny to find out that he first published this under a woman's name because it wasn't acceptable in the 70s for a man to write something like this. "
